Chapter seven

REED'S POV

“Jeremy Sa Andreas”  Alpha Robert called

“Yes Alpha”

“You're one of my best warriors, and you know that. I'm sending you on this mission because I have great trust in you, do not fail me” He said and I nodded my head assuringly and said

“I give you my word Alpha Robert, I'll do my best to get all the information we need in order to bring them down. I would bring you and this pack great honor” A small smile curved on his lips, showing satisfaction, then he gestured for me to leave

Don't get confused now, let me give you a brief introduction about myself

I am Reed Alphonso, Second son of Lucas Alphonso, Alpha of The Silver Pack. Though I'm the second, my father chose me as the next in line to the throne, but in order to prove my worthiness, he sent me to spy on Robert Gonzales, bring him down and conquer the whole pack. Only then will I be able to Succeed him

My older brother, Craig, wasn't happy about this, though he had always underestimated and made me feel less of myself, he still feared that I may succeed, which was the last thing he wanted, so we had a deal.

“Hey, you look so happy that dad sent you on this mission, do you really think you could defeat Robert? He is way more powerful and stronger than you could ever be, so if I were you, I would better back down before even starting” he had said that fateful morning, when I was all jiggly and excited that my dad finally saw some potentials in me

I was so happy that I could finally prove my worth to him, prove Craig wrong and make the pack members accord me the respect that I deserved

“Quit it Craig, this would get you nowhere, I would go on this mission and come out successful, I know that would be your worst nightmare, so I'm going to do everything in my power to achieve that. Start preparing yourself now so you wouldn't go completely insane when that time comes” I retorted and walked away but as the persistent person that he was, he followed me

“Don't be too confident okay, anyway, how about we do it this way, if you…” not this again, he was trying to strike some stupid deal which I wasn't interested in, so I cut him off

“I said quit it already, don't you have something better to do?“ I said, the tone of my voice slowly rising

“No need to start getting upset little brother, just hear me out, and think about it later” he continued

“That is so rude” he said again, when I pushed him out and shut the door to his face

***

“And here comes our aspiring Alpha, look how weak he is, is he capable of ruling over us?“ Craig asked mockingly

“Nah I don't think so, he can't even win a combat against a common Omega” Nat, his best friend responded and they both bursted into a wild laughter, which I ignored

“You know very well about mom's illness right?“

“Don't ignore me you fool, I'm trying to give you an appealing offer here” he said again.

Yes, My mom had an ailment which was strange and unknown, we tried modern treatment to no avail and resorted to supernatural, contacting all the powerful sorceresses and sorcerers, still to no avail

Her condition got worse everyday, she suffered every single day, and to make the whole situation unbearable, she happened to be semi immortal, if she died, she would reincarnate as another person but still suffer the same fate. According to the pack's witch, the process would repeat itself for eternity. Since resting in peace wasn't in the books for her, I felt it was a punishment, but for what? Mom was a very nice and hearty person, who couldn't even hurt a fly. Despite how powerful she was, she never killed or inflicted pain on her enemies. It hurt me alot to see her suffer and then, there's nothing I could do
