Country Club

After Johnny expressed his feelings for her, y/n was confused. She didn't know what to do. She also skipped her practice for one week and called in sick, to which sensei kreese didn't mind. Because he knew what Johnny did.

" Y/n, you are going with me to the country club tonight, right?" Her mother asked, as she was ironing their dresses.

" I don't know mom. I am not feeling very well."

" You skipped practice for one week, barely attended school, you should be okay by now. And you are going with me tonight. Your boyfriend's family will also be there, I want to meet them and you can too."

Y/n's eyes widened as she thought of the possibility. Meeting his parents? Her mother thinking they are dating and her saying they are dating in front of Johnny's parents? And y/n doesn't even know what Johnny told to his mother.

" Umm..mo-mom, I am really not ok. I can't go." Y/n protested.

" You are going. If only for one hour but you are going. No more debates, it's settled."

" You look gorgeous. I told you, bottle green is really your colour!" Y/n's mother looked so proud of her.

" Yea yea mom. Whatever." Y/n rolled her eyes.

" Johnny is gonna love you in this!" She laughed.

Y/n's heart skipped a beat, upon hearing his name. She was thinking of giving an answer to him tonight.

A yes.

She couldn't help it. And maybe doing this all in front of their families would be more convenient.

At night, they arrived at the country club and it was already packed. As soon as they reached the place, y/n's eyes started finding Johnny but he was nowhere to be seen.

" Hey y/n!"

It was Ali.

"Oh hi, Ali."

" Good to see you here. I didn't know you were coming." Ali asked with confusion.

" Why not?"

" Your fight with Daniel and all. I mean, I think what you did was right. It was your own choice."

" Thanks for saying that. But, I don't want to talk about it, so if you will excuse me, please." Y/n forced a smile as she went in, following her mother.

All the rich people were present there, cheering, drinking, and doing the rich gossip. Y/n's mother was doing all of these three too, she couldn't complaint.

Thats when, she spotted Johnny. But he was dancing with someone, and y/n's eyes widened when the girl's face came in view. It was Ali.

They both were dancing so close, and y/n could feel her cheeks getting red by the passing minute. She was getting jealous.

Suddenly, a loud thud could be heard. Everyone turned their head towards the direction, from which the sound came.

It was Daniel, covered in food. Everyone was laughing, even Johnny was laughing at him.

Y/n now wanted to talk to Daniel, but because of the embarassment, he already left running.

She was now again looking in the direction of Ali and Johnny. They were not dancing together anymore, in fact, Ali looked angry. But Johnny was busy in laughing and then his eyes met y/n's.

Y/n shook her head in disgust and went outside. Johnny, wasting no time also ran after her. He knew she him dancing with Ali and there would be many questions in her head which he wanted to clear.

Y/n ran into the parking lot. It was filled with vehicles and it was hard to find anyone in that parking lot.

But love finds its way.

" Y/n!!!" Johnny's voice could be heard.

Y/n didn't bother to look back at him, as she continued to walk. There were small tears, starting to form in her eyes.

Johnny ran towards her and grabbed her arm, and turned her to face him.

Y/n immediately yanked her arm away and shot him a death glare.

" Don't you dare!" She said through tears, but her voice was stern.

" What!?"

" Don't you dare to explain anything to me Lawrence!" She answered.

" But you have to listen to me!"

" No. It's not compulsory that I have to listen to you." She scoffed.

" Look, y/n. It wasn't what it looked like."

" Listen Johnny. God gave me two human eyes, not buttons. I saw what you were doing there with Ali." She answered, a look of disgust on her face.

" I did that to-"

" To do what!? And you laughed at Daniel! What is really wrong with you Johnny? Get yourself checked! " She frustrately shouted, her jaw was clenched.

" Ok, so was I the one who made him fall!? Huh? He fell on his own, I just laughed. And I was not the only one! Others were laughing too, but you know why you found it bad!? Because he is your best friend. But last time I checked, you have not talked to him in past 2 weeks, so why the sudden care!?"

Y/n went silent after that. She took a deep breath and looked straight in his eyes.

" Let's not talk about what happened with Daniel, lets talk about what you were doing with Ali. You two were so close and yet! 1 week ago, you expressed your feelings to me!? Was that all a joke? Was it again some sort of plan? If yes, then remember what I told you, forget who I was!"

" I won't deny what I did, because I know I was wrong there-"

"Oh thank God! For once! You admitted it." Y/n dramatically clapped her hands.

Johnny angrily shut his eyes, to cool himself off.

" Enough of that, now listen, what I did, was for some reason."

" What possible reason could you have, that you were wrapping yourselves around your ex girlfriend!?"

" Promise to me, you won't get mad."

" Are you fucking joking right now? What do you mean that I won't get mad? Dude, I AM already mad. What is left?" She laughed.

" Alright, well then this won't hurt. I was just dancing with Ali, like normally,at first, that also because her parents kindly asked me to-"

" If her parents, kindly ask you to marry her, will you?" She smirked.

" God y/n!! Just listen! While we were dancing, I saw him, now you know I hate his guts,I don't like that man, so I decided to make him jealous. He was shocked upon seeing me and Ali dancing together and he fell."

After saying this all, his head hung low, in shame.

" You wanted to make him jealous? Why? You said you went jealous when you saw me with him and now- Johnny, this is unbelievable. That all was not compulsory. You know I was thinking of saying y-"

She stopped there. She didn't feel like saying anything to him anymore. So she decided not to tell him and to just walk away, because if there's one thing she learnt, it was that Johnny Lawrence can never change.
