AZUR LANE: The Displaced

Chapter 13: Return

Location: Waters near Azur lane
Time: 10:00 AM

The fleet was now nearing Azur Lane base with the two new very big additons to it

Most of the ships were damaged but with the help of the new massive white repair ship and it's absurdly good repair capabilities they were repaired in almost no time

That said as the damaged ship of Suffolk was now sailing on the portside of the massive ship with an open bay

Suffolk was at the bridge of her ship wearing a headset and holding on to the steering wheel

Caminus(radio): steady. Hold your speed. Okay now commencing docking

She lined up the ship under the vertical swing doors which revealed a rail sytem under them and it extends to the inside of the repair bay

There were 6 rails and with a metallic clunk the rails aligned and locked each other via pistons pushing pins. Large ceiling cranes from the inside with some whirring of the electric motors slowly slid out to position themselves above her ship

Caminus(radio): Lowering cranes

Suffolk: i see em

The large and powerful electric winches whirred to life as they slowly lowered 4 large sets of simple mechanical pincers (not like crabs) with pistons can extend sideways and downwards with large grippers with joints to spread out the force

They were now hovering above her ship one in the bow above the turret 2 in the mid-section an another one on the rear turret

They slowly started closing in and the grippers start to hug her hull and with a metallic groan which signifies that they are now gripped on

Suffolk: grippers are holding tight over

Caminus(radio): Ok shut down engines and i will commence the lift

Suffolk then pulls on the ship throttle and put it to 'stop'

Suffolk: Engines are off. Repeat engines are off

Caminus(radio): Commencing lift

The winches on the cranes whirred very loudly but they were more than powerful enough to lift her ship. Slowly her ship slowly rose from the water and it was slowly brought into the bay

Now inside the bay Caminus was standing at a metal walkway looking at the PDA (Personal Digital Assistant) on his left arm which were showing the the damage in Suffolk's ship

Caminus: Hmmm this is just the surface though. I'm gonna need to scan the ship. There may be internal damage

He quietly muttered to himself as he kept swiping on it

He then looked up and saw her ship now inside. The slow moving cranes suddenly stop moving causing the ship to gently swing side to side

Slowly it was lowered down to the flooded floor and 10 large heavy duty robotic arms extended out of the water and with a metallic clunk her ship has now docked

Caminus: Now time to get to work

He said as a metal walkway began extending towards her ship allowing her to get off. The pink haired girl then walked up to Caminus and greeted him

Suffolk: Hey there Mr. Caminus

Caminus: Oh hey *waves*

Suffolk: Soooo. How bad is it

She asked as she leaned forward and stands on her toes trying to look at his PDA
