YJM - 21 KMJ - 20
If it wasn't for the fact that they didn't have to wake up for filming that day, Karina would've been screwed to find herself in an unfamiliar bed, a body molded to her back. For some reason, the bed felt unfamiliar, however, the body didn't.
Yet, Karina melted into the very embrace, rubbing the redhead's hand over her bare stomach under her borrowed shirt and sighing in relief when she looked behind her and saw Minjeong peacefully sleeping. In a quick blink at the rising sun, it clicked. She was in Minjeong's home. She remembered everything that happened last night. None of it that she regretted.
For once, she wasn't conflicted, and finally felt at peace. Content and peace wasn't something to come by easily as an actress. There were many times where Karina sought it but failed to truly get a hold of what it meant to feel at peace. It was difficult as a celebrity, a popular one at such a young age.
Suddenly, she heard multiple vibrations from her phone, which was barely hanging off the edge of the coffee table. She blindly reached for the phone, groaning at the bright light emitting from the screen. As soon as her eyes settled on the caller id, her eyes widened and her fingers fumbled over the screen in a rush to answer the phone.
"Hello? Karina, where are you? We were supposed to have breakfast today." The sound of her best friend's concerned voice caused the raven to wince. She totally forgot she was supposed to be somewhere this morning. The sleep she fell into had to be one of the best she has had.
Clearing her throat quietly, Karina slightly lifted her self up to gaze behind her again. "I'm so sorry. I slept in and I'm at, uh- Minjeong's place-" Her voice froze, giving time to see what her friend would say.
Aeri suddenly became silent on the other side of the phone for a moment before she spoke. "Wow, you really do like that girl." A small chuckle was released from the manager, Karina sighing before falling back onto the pillow again. Her heart nearly dropped at the unseeable silence.
The raven stared up at the ceiling, recalling all those moments she held close that had happened between them. "It might have been the-" She paused, squeezing her eyes shut tightly in embarrassment. "-Ugh, you know what? I don't want to even say it because I know you'll laugh at me."
Behind the phone, she knew Aeri was rolling her eyes on the other side but she didn't really care at this point. "I can't be the only one who felt it. Although, they'll draw it off as really good chemistry, so don't mess it up." The manager warned her. Karina saw it coming anyways.
Shifting to turn around in Minjeong's embrace, she lifted her free hand stroke the redhead's jaw with her thumb. She became entranced with the younger girl's ethereal bare beauty, unique features already memorable to her. Minjeong hummed under her touch and Karina thought it was adorable.
It'd be dishonesty to say she didn't feel really, really happy, so happy that her chest was thumping so hard. "I won't, I hope." She exhaled, stroking Minjeong's skin under her thumb carefully. "I'll have to call you later. I don't want to wake her up." Karina whispered an apology to Aeri, who hummed in understanding before hanging up the phone and leaning over to put her phone down.
Just as she was about to surrender to sleep again, her phone vibrated again. And this time, it was a message from one of her ex boyfriends. Right, because she definitely needed a message from him this early morning.
Karina hated how out of all people the casting director could've chosen for the other lead role, he chose one of her exes who was insufferable. She hated dealing with him but she was known to be professional. For Jeno—well, he'd do anything to have her back.
