(Present)
Katarina was waiting patiently, smiling at the memory of their time at her family's house. It was so notable, and might have to be her favorite memories.
The interviewer takes notice and directs his gaze toward her. "You seem to be smiling a lot. Something you recall?"
Nodding, the raven looks down at her hand, specifically her left hand with her wedding ring. Her engagement ring was right under it, a beautiful combination of diamonds reflecting at her. She sighs in content, unable to resist being in awe at the fact that it was very much real.
She wasn't dreaming.
Katarina raises her head, eyes searching between all of the staff members. "That week- it was the most craziest experience of my life. But one of the best memories I can remember." She breathes out her response, which piques everyone's attention.
It starts a little something like this.

When Karina was a teen, she vividly remembered telling her mother that she wanted to be loved by someone unconditionally. Her mother asked her to emphasize on what she meant by 'unconditionally.'
(I don't need them to be perfect. I just want them to be able to look past all my flaws and tell me how much they adore them. I want them to love all of me, not just the good parts but the ugly too. Boy or girl, I just want to loved whether we have good days or bad days." 16 year old Karina's gaze rose slowly, afraid of what her mother's reaction would be.)
Instead, her mother only laughed and stroked her hair gently. "I understand, honey. It might take a long time to find your special person. But one day, one day, there will be someone who looks at you like you hold their whole universe in your eyes. You'll know, because they make you feel special, like nothing you've ever felt before." Mrs. Yu placed a kiss to the side of her head, reassuringly.)
When the time came that she started dating, in general, adult Karina was disappointed to find out that finding her other half wasn't as easy as teen Karina thought it was.
Everytime she thought she had found that someone, she ended up getting her heart broken in realization that her partners probably never felt the same way as her. It was a heart breaking realization, led Karina to question whether she should even seek being in a relationship anymore. Sure, she knew it was a natural process but after the multiple scandals and her unfortunate endings with her exes and flings, she decided to focus on her career solely.
She was grateful she took time to build herself up again, though, some heartbreaks were worse than the last.
There weren't any sparks, or the horrendous pacing of her heart for a while. It was like she was the only one putting in effort. She realized it was better to not think too much about it, at all.
However, her mother never quite warned her about how—intense truly falling in love was. The moment you feel your world colliding into someone else's.
The first time she physically met Minjeong, for their script reading, she was walking into the building, sweatpants and a simple crop top with her mask on. Karina had stopped by the coffee room to make herself some coffee and was heading the same way after finishing up.
As she was walking out of the coffee room, a woman, whose hair was jet black, and long walked past Karina. Her scent enclasped around the actress, which smelt expensive and ethereal. Karina had barely managed to catch a glimpse of her face, as the girl had removed her mask. It was only a small moment before Karina realized who she was and ran up to her, two sweet coffees in hand.
