Leaving behind America was probably the easiest hard thing the siblings had ever done. Morrigan constantly thought of this in the beginning. Overtime, that thought faded until it was no more.

As predicted, their family in America didn't reach out at all, even though Morrigan made many attempts to do so. She still wanted to know how they were doing and left herself hanging. Eventually she stopped trying to reach out. After a year, they were barely a thought in her mind.

Dae thought of them even less than Morrigan and made no effort to check up on them. Dae knew it was a waste of time because they weren't interested in people they couldn't control. Dae hoped one day she could reveal themselves as Yoongi's assistant to show how far they made it without a family.

Dae was forever grateful to their big sister for the sacrifices she made to make enough money for the move. Dae helped when they could but Morrigan wanted them to focus on their studies, the hope behind that being it would help Dae get a job in Korea. Dae laughed about it often because the siblings just ended up working in a coffee shop together.

Before moving, the girls did their best in their birth country to make it through. Morrigan had been working as early as she could as a hotel receptionist and worked extra as a dog sitter, which eventually gave Morrigan and Dae a place to stay every once in a while when living with their family got too rough.

Morrigan moved out at 16 and moved into the hotel where they allowed her to stay free as long as she worked for free. For the next two years, Morrigan dropped out of high school and got her GED so she could focus on working as much as possible. At 18, Morrigan had an apartment and started court proceedings to adopt Dae officially.

Dae was 16 at the time and the court recognized they weren't doing the best with her parents and decided to give Morrigan temporary custody until they could determine if they wanted an 18 year old taking care of a teenager. Eventually the siblings were granted the permission and Morrigan officially adopted Dae. The state continued checking on them until Dae turned 18.

Things had gone smoothly until Morrigan met Adam. Adam was sweet at first and the couple soon married. Morrigan was 19 and Dae 17. He moved in with the siblings and that's when things would turn bad. He turned cold but somehow charmed the social workers. Adam's abuse continued for a while until he hit Morrigan just after Dae's 18th birthday. The siblings turned him in, Morrigan got divorced and they used their savings to look into moving out of the country.

Morrigan took a trip to South Korea to visit and was lucky to have found a place in a short time. Dae sent over all of their things and they both moved their way out of the country.

Now two almost three years into their stay, the siblings have finally passed the halfway point to getting their citizenship and permanently living there.

Dae's story is almost as traumatic. Dae was adopted by Morrigan because their parents didn't accept her gender identity. Morrigan saw this and offered to take care of Dae.

Dae didn't really have a group of friends to call their own and spent most days at school in the library and any extra classes were spent taking college courses, to get a head start because her school had dual enrollment.

When Dae graduated high school, they had the basic certifications to become an EMT or RN. Dae wasn't sure what path they wanted to take after high school and thought about getting the minimum done in all fields of interest.

Getting here was a long journey for the pair, and they went through many hardships and even almost lost their apartment before making the assistants jobs. Hyun Ki even put in the good word when they were struggling. They were in debt with management of their apartment for a long time,

Morrigan often worried about the struggles they were having and was in constant fear of it being the pure reason they wouldn't be able to stay. A lot of this led to the downfall of both the siblings' mental health decreases and they were on the low for a long time.

The siblings never made any friends with people, other than Ki, because they were constantly working and had little trust in people because of their upbringing in America.

Now they felt they didn't need any more friends than the 12 friends they had made. They had each other and that to them mattered most.
