~no one's pov

As the night wore on and the house grew quiet, you drifted off into an uneasy sleep. But instead of finding rest, your mind was plagued by haunting images of the villain's attack. You felt the suffocating grip of fear as you relived the moment, the sound of your own screams echoing in your ears.

Suddenly, you heard your name being called, a voice filled with malice and menace. Your heart raced, and you jolted awake, gasping for air. Instinctively, you began thrashing in bed, your hands flailing wildly.

But then, strong arms wrapped around you, pulling you into a tight embrace. You opened your eyes to find Bakugou beside you, his expression filled with concern.

"Y/n, it's okay. You're safe," he whispered, his voice a soothing balm against the chaos of your thoughts.

You clung to him, trembling with residual fear. "I-I'm sorry," you managed to choke out, tears pricking at the corners of your eyes. "I didn't mean to wake you."

Bakugou shook his head, his grip on you never faltering. "Don't apologize. You were having a nightmare."

He gently brushed away your tears, his touch warm and comforting. "You're safe here, Y/n. I won't let anything happen to you."

You buried your face in his chest, seeking solace in his presence. His steady heartbeat echoed in your ears, grounding you in reality.

For a long while, you simply stayed like that, finding comfort in each other's embrace. Bakugou's presence was a reassuring anchor, reminding you that you weren't alone in this fight.

Eventually, the tension began to fed away, replaced by a sense of calm. You felt your breathing slow, your racing heart gradually returning to its normal rhythm.

"Thank you, Bakugou," you murmured, your voice barely above a whisper.

He pressed a gentle kiss to the top of your head, you were quiet surprised by his touch feather-light. "Anytime, Y/n. Anytime."

And as you drifted back into a peaceful slumber, wrapped in Bakugou's protective embrace.

~bakugou's pov

Bakugou's heart pounded in his chest as he held you close, his mind swirling with conflicting emotions. He had always prided himself on his strength and resolve, but in that moment, he felt vulnerable, exposed.

His instincts surged to the surface, a possessive desire burning within him. He wanted you to love him as fiercely as he loved you, to belong to him completely.

But even as those thoughts consumed him, a part of Bakugou recoiled at the intensity of his own feelings. He had never allowed himself to be so vulnerable, to care so deeply for another person.

Yet, as he looked down at you, nestled in his arms, he couldn't deny the fierce protectiveness that welled up inside him. He would do anything to keep you safe, even if it meant facing his own inner demons.

With a shaky breath, Bakugou pressed his lips to your forehead, his touch gentle yet possessive. "I won't let anyone hurt you," he vowed, his voice low and determined.

But deep down, he knew that his desire to protect you went beyond mere duty. He wanted to be the one you turned to in times of need, the one who held you close and chased away the darkness.

As he watched you drift back into a peaceful sleep, Bakugou made a silent promise to himself. He would do whatever it took to earn your love, to prove that he was worthy of being by your side.

And as the first light of dawn began to filter through the curtains, Bakugou felt a flicker of hope ignite within him. Maybe, just maybe, there was a chance for him to find happiness in the midst of the chaos that surrounded you both.
