I lunged behind the crate tapping the earpeice hidden by my hair.

"Azur, review the footage to before Sho shot me" I ordered.

"I can't believe you let him shot you" Azur snarled and I heard the angry typing of keys.

I glanced over the wooden box's protecting me from the gunfire and saw the Brethren trying to leave.

I brought my fingers to my lips and sent a short sharp whistle.

"Don't let them leave" I snapped into the air knowing it reached my targets ears.

"Great now hes talking to himself" Azur huffed.

"On it Deku" Dabi's voice echoed and was soon acompainied by the sound of a fight.

"What the hell" Azur said to no one in particular, his voice crackling slightly.

"His eyes" I hear Kai whisper.

"So I wasn't imagining it" I muttered.

I leaped back over the crate and raced to get in close dodging Shotos bullets.

When I closed the distance I leaped for the gun tackling him to the ground. I could feel Shoto fighting back as I threw the gun out of reach and pinned his arms to the ground.

I involuntarily took a deep breath taking in the warm scent of burnt wood that radiated from him.

I looked into his dull grey eyes.

"Sho.." I whispered searching his eyes for a fragment of my friend.

"It's your fault" Sho yelled at me struggling in my grip.

"I TOLD YOU TO NOT TAKE ME HOME BUT YOU DID" He roared.

I flinched the gulit that I had kept surpressed coming out in waves.

"I-"

"I'm going to kill you Izuku" Shoto said laughing with sinister intent.

"Like I should have done when I first met you, when you were alone and had no one. Before you beacame the infamous Deku" His eyes gleamed.

"Im going to make you regret being born Izu" I stared at him in shock.

"DEKU BEHIND YOU" Azur yelled in my ear just as a sharp kick to my ribs sent me flying off Shoto.

I leapted back to my feet and glared at the goon who kicked me although Dabi quickly raced over and finished him.

"I'm going to kill you Izuku"

Shotos words rang through my mind.

"Give me the ear peice" I heard from Azurs end.

"Deku can you hear me" Kacchans voice filled my ear and I turned my gaze back to the advancing Shoto infront of me.

"Thats not Shoto Todoroki, you know that" Kats voice spoke reason, but my heart protested.

"Who was it you replaced me with" Shoto paused and thought before laughing "Thats right Katsuki Bakugo, I'll kill him after you. Or I might make you watch." Sho grinned his eyes remaining dull.

I watched as Shoto moved to retreve the gun that I got rid of earlier.

Yep I just stood there as he picked at the gun and aimed it in my direction.

I watched his eyes flash once more breifly showing Shotos misery before the dull eyed look returned and I knew what to do.

I walked towards him no hesitation in my steps.

I walked until I could press my forehead against the cool carbon steel of the barrell.

"I'm sorry Shoto, I broke my promise when I returned your body home" I spoke firmly.

"I'm sorry that I couldn't save you when I vowed I would protect you with my life" Tears started running down my face.

"I'm sorry that I wasn't enough" I brought a hand up and gripped the gun pressing it into my head even more.

"I'm sorry I got you killed" I sobbed.

"Deku" I heard Pinkie sob through the earpeice.

"I'm sorry that I couldn't even allow you to rest in peace" I squeesed my eyes tighter.

"Please Izu"

I looked up at Shoto and there it was, the old glimmer of my best friend.

"Please end this" Shoto sobbed.

I squeased my eyes shut and shook my head.

"Izuku, I can't hold it back much more it's the drug Shigaraki used to bring me back. But if you dont kill me I will kill you" Shotos arm that held the gun shook.

"IZUKU PLEASE!" Shoto yelled and I opened my eyes watching the dull return to his gaze.

With a sob I drove my katana through his stomach and into his heart.

The fact that I wrote this listening to the song Best Song Ever by one direction makes me question my mental health right now ;p
