Next morning

The room was painted in muted shades of gray and blue, reflecting the somber mood that hung heavy in the air.

Taehyung lay on the bed, his head turned to the side, gazing out the window as if seeking solace in the distant horizon.

His long fingers traced aimlessly over the crumpled sheets, revealing a thin trail of blood that led down to his fingertips. The slightest touch seemed to aggravate the pain that pulsed through his abdomen, a pain that he knew all too well.

Jungkook sat on the edge of the bed, watching his lover with a mixture of concern and despair. He reached out a trembling hand and gently brushed a strand of hair away from Taehyung's forehead.

"You should rest, baby," he murmured softly. "It's going to be okay." But even as he spoke the words, he knew that they were lies. There was no way for this to be okay.

He knew that it would take time to overcome what happened to them.

Taehyung turned his head to look at Jungkook, his eyes red and swollen from tears. "I don't know how much more of this I can take," he whispered hoarsely. "It hurts so bad, Jungkook."

Jungkook nodded, unable to find the words to comfort him. He knew that Taehyung was referring not just to the physical pain of the miscarriage, but the emotional anguish as well.

The doctor had mentioned that there will be some pain and little blood in the stomach area that will hurt time after time. "I'm here for you love," he said finally. "I love you, and I'm not going anywhere."

Taehyung smiled weakly it's what he wanted to hear, reaching out to take Jungkook's hand in his own. "I know, I love you," he said, squeezing gently.

"But it's not just the pain, you know? It's everything... the what-ifs and the why-mess." He paused, swallowing thickly. "I wish I could have communicated with you, Jungkook. I wish I hadn't left, maybe we would've had our d-daughter."

Jungkook felt a pang in his chest at those words. He knew the pain he felt when Taehyung had disappeared without a word, leaving Jungkook confused and hurt.

"Shh, its ok, we were both stupid." he said, trying to reassure him. "But I wish you would have at least told me where you were going."

Taehyung looked away again, his gaze fixed on the floor. "I was planning to tell you." he confessed softly. "I was going to tell you about the baby... and about your mom."

His voice caught in his throat, and he had to pause to gather himself before continuing. "I wanted to do it in person, you know? But then... then it all just happened so fast."

Jungkook sat up straighter, his eyes widening in surprise. "What do you mean, about my mom?" he asked, his voice barely above a whisper. "How did she...?"

Taehyung bit his lip, tears welling up in his eyes once more. "She was the reason I left, Jungkook," he confessed, his voice barely audible. "Y-your mom... she was the one I... I mean, we... I was with her the night I disappeared."

Taehyung knew it was only a matter of time before Jungkook found out. He could feel it in the air, a tension so thick it was almost palpable. So, he told him everything.

No more hiding, communication was where he lacked the last time.

Taehyung leaned against the cold, damp wall, watching as the rain dripped from the eaves above. He couldn't help but wonder how many times he'd been in this exact spot, hiding from his own memories.

It was no secret that his life had been far from perfect, but even he couldn't have predicted the depths to which it would plunge. It all started with a chance encounter at a local bar, where he met Jungkook.

Back then, he'd been nothing more than a cashier at the nearest convenience store, just trying to make ends meet.

But somehow, someway, their eyes met across the crowded room, and something clicked.

Like two pieces of a puzzle finding their way back to each other. They began spending every free moment together, sharing stories and laughter over cheap beer and stale popcorn. And for a brief moment in time, Taehyung forgot about all the pain and suffering that came with being poor.

He forgot about the cruel remarks from strangers and the constant struggle to make ends meet. He forgot about everything except for the feeling of being whole again, of finally finding someone who truly understood him.

But then, that day, everything changed.

Jungkook's mother, was woman who Taehyung had never particularly liked, began to take notice of their relationship.

At first, her comments were subtle; questions about Taehyung's background and how he managed to afford such nice clothes.

But over time, they became more pointed, more accusatory. She accused him of being a gold digger, of only being interested in her son for his wealth. And when word began to spread throughout the family, the whispers and stares only got worse.

It seemed as though everyone had an opinion on their relationship, and none of them were particularly kind.

Taehyung tried to ignore it all at first, but it was impossible to block out the hurt and the anger.

And when Jungkook's mother discovered that Taehyung was pregnant, things came to a head.

She threw him out of the house, refusing to believe that her son could possibly be responsible. And with that, their perfect little bubble was shattered.

They were left to pick up the pieces and try to move on, their love tested like never before.

But even in the midst of all that pain, Taehyung never once regretted falling in love with Jungkook.

Not for a single second. Because even though they'd lost so much, even though their world had been turned upside down, they still had each other.

And that, to Taehyung, was worth more than any amount of money or material possessions.
