Just then, he heard footsteps approaching from around the corner.

His heart skipped a beat as he recognized the familiar gait. It was Jungha watching them with anger, probably because she overheard what he told Jungkook.

Taehyung couldn't help but feel a mix of hope and fear swirling in his stomach. He wanted nothing more than to see Jungkook's mother held accountable for her actions, for her cruelty.

But at the same time, he was terrified of what might happen when they faced off. Would Jungkook turn on him too?

Would he believe his mother over the man he claimed to love? As Jungkook drew closer, Taehyung couldn't help but wonder if their love was strong enough to survive this.

The door to their room flew open, banging against the opposite wall with such force that pictures fell from their hooks and shattered on the floor.

Jungkook's mother stood there, her eyes blazing with anger and betrayal. "I still can't believe you brought that trash here," she spat, pointing an accusing finger at Taehyung. "After everything I've done for you, this is how you repay me?"

Jungkook stepped forward, his jaw clenched tight. "Mom, please. You don't understand what happened."

"Understand?" she shouted, her voice rising to a shrill pitch. "I understand that my son has been fooled by some gold-digging whore! I understand that he's thrown his life away for some worthless piece of-"

"Mom, enough!" Jungkook's voice cut through the air like a knife. "You're wrong. You always have been. You threw Taehyung out of the house, remember? You kicked him while he was fucking pregnant with my child and suffering.

And because of you, our baby died!" His voice cracked on the last word, tears streaming down his face.

"You fucking hear that, my princess died because of you."

Taehyung's heart shattered at the sight. He'd never expected Jungkook to defend him like this. To put himself on the line for someone who, in the grand scheme of things, meant nothing to him.

It was a testament to just how much Jungkook truly loved him, how deeply their bond ran. And it made it all the more painful when Jungkook's mother's eyes widened in shock and horror.

"Jungkook," she whispered, her voice barely audible above the thundering of Taehyung's heart. "You can't possibly mean that. You know I would never do anything to hurt you."

But it was too late. The damage had been done. Jungkook's anger, fueled by grief and betrayal, was impossible to contain any longer. He grabbed his mother by the shoulders, shaking her violently.

"You fucking did this, Mom! You did all of this! You threw Taehyung out and made him suffer. And now our baby is fucking gone because of it!" His voice cracked again, tears streaming down his face. "How could you, what the fuck did he do to you?"

Taehyung felt a tear slide down his own cheek as he watched Jungkook's mother crumple to the ground, her shoulders heaving with sobs.

She looked up at her son, her eyes filled with anguish and regret. "I-I didn't know," she stammered. "I thought... I thought he was lying to you. I just wanted what was best for you, for us."

"They t-told me how bad Taehyung was and stupid me believed all of it."

Jungkook stared at his mother for a long moment, his expression a mix of hurt and confusion. Finally, he let go of her shoulders and took a step back, wiping away his tears.

"I don't know what to believe anymore," he whispered. "All I know is that Taehyung loves me and our baby, and you treated him like trash. And now..." He trailed off, looking lost.

Taehyung swallowed hard, feeling a lump forming in his throat. He knew that Jungkook was hurting, and he knew that his mother had hurt him too.

But he also knew that their love was strong enough to survive this.

"Jungkook," he said softly, taking a step forward. "Calm down I'm here."

Jungkook turned to Taehyung, his expression raw and vulnerable. "I don't know what to do," he confessed. "I feel like I can't trust anyone right now."

He wiped away another tear as he looked back at his mother, who was still crumpled on the floor, her shoulders shaking with sobs.

Taehyung wrapped an arm around Jungkook's waist, pulling him close. "We'll figure it out together," he whispered. "We have each other, and that's all that matters."

He pressed a gentle kiss to Jungkook's temple before stepping back and looking into his eyes. "We can have peace and build more on our relationship."

Jungkook looked away, his jaw clenched tight. "Yeah," he managed to choke out. "Yeah, we can do that." He took a deep breath and turned towards his mother. "Let's leave I don't want to be here anymore."

His mother looked up at him, her eyes red and swollen. "I am so sorry, son, Taehyung I am sorry please d-don't leave," she whispered. "I just don't know how to make it right." She reached out a shaking hand and gently tried to touch both Taehyung and Jungkook's cheek.

"I love you, Jungkook, Taehyung please. More than anything."

But both of them stepped away, their heart was not ready to let her in, it was all too much to bear, so they left the house, to start anew.
