The day after settling into everyone's hotel rooms and arriving in the big apple it was officially May eleventh. Lydia's birthday and her wedding (work) day. She told the boys to do as they pleased and she'd text them when she finished with the wedding.
So, now she was here. At a random church, in the bridal room doing the bridesmaids hair while the bride was getting her makeup done. The bride had already expressed her thanks and gratitude towards Lydia for doing this so last minute. As Lydia was doing the last bridesmaids hair it clicked...she knew the bride. She knew the bride from her first two years of high school. This was the bitch who made it hell for Lydia. She stuck gum in her hair before gym class. She relentlessly flirted with Schlatt by insulting her. She even stole Lydia's first ever boyfriend.
Then she saw the names on the welcome sign. 'No fucking way.' Lydia thought to herself in shock. 'Welcome to the wedding of Brandon & Cassidy!' They had stayed together for that long? They had stayed together since sophomore year? Lydia honestly gave them props for staying together that long. Cassidy was unbearable to be around just with her high pitched voice and wanna be valley girl accent. Brandon wasn't that bad aside from completely ignoring his girlfriend whenever he wanted to and...you know, the cheating.
Soon Cassidy was sat in the chair in front of Lydia. As much as Lydia would love to ruin the day for Cassidy, she decided against it. She quickly did the brides hair and didn't talk unless Cassidy talked to her. Once she was done with everything she began to pack her hair dresser bag. "Oh, I don't have the checkbook on me. You could stay until the end of the wedding or my fiancée has it in his dressing room." Cassidy told her.
"Thanks. I'll just head over and grab it and go. I have some plans for tonight. Happy wedding day though." She said before grabbing her bag and heading for the grooms suite. She knocked on the door and a grooms man answered. "The bride said the groom had the check book. I'm the hairdresser." Lydia told him. The grooms man took Lydia to the groom who quickly took out the check book.
"Thanks for doing this so last second. Cassidy was so stressed about losing her hairdresser and then she said she ran into your mom at the store. You're definitely a wedding saver." Brandon said as he wrote the check after Lydia told him how much it was.
"It's no problem at all." Lydia couldn't wait to get out of there.
"You look oddly familiar. Have we met?" He asked before giving her the check.
"Nope. Never. Not once. First time ever meeting you." She quickly shut down.
"No I definitely know you from somewhere. Oh my god- Lydia! It's been forever." She mentally cried realizing this was going to take forever and she just wanted a nap. "Remember we went out in high school. Freshman and sophomore year."
"Oh yeah..."
"I can't believe how long it's been. Wow it's such a small world." Lydia noticed him looking her up and down and she almost shivered becoming uncomfortable. She watched as he looked around the room noticing it was empty before placing a hand on her shoulder. "I want to apologize for how everything happened. I never wanted you to find out that way and I honestly never wanted to do anything with Cassidy until I broke it off. But she had other plans."
Lydia took the check from him as she became even more uncomfortable from his hand on her shoulder. "It's all good I've moved on trust me."
"I just want to make it up to you." He began leaning in and she immediately shoved him off.
"Whoa! Nope, nope, noooooope. I'm out." She said rushing to grab her back and get out. She shut the grooms suite door behind her as she walked out in the hallway.
"Lydia, thank god. You left your hair clips." Cassidy said rushing out to catch the woman.
"Thanks." Lydia said questioning if she should tell Cassidy or not. "Hey, so I'm pretty sure Brandon tried to kiss me." Lydia mentally face palmed. She should've let it go, curse being a good person.
Cassidy scoffed and rolled her eyes. "You know, I tried to be the bigger person and act like nothing happened and as if we never met but clearly you're still not over high school."
Lydia almost did a double take. "Huh?"
"You're clearly still hung up on Brandon being more into me than you and now you're trying to ruin my wedding day, I'm not having it."
Lydia burst out laughing. "Okay girl. Never mind. Your future husband didn't try to kiss me. Y'all deserve each other. Enjoy hell with your soulmate. I'm gonna go enjoy my birthday with my friends. Bye bitch!" Lydia said as she walked down the hallway and to the Uber she had waiting outside.

Lydia tossed her bag in the floor of her hotel room as she collapsed on her bed. She laughed to herself at the interaction she had with the bitchy bride. "Oh my god. What is my life?" She sigh before sitting up. The boys planned to go out with her around six and it was noon so she had a while to kill. She decided to watch some tv so she scooted up and leaned against the bed frame and clicked on some random tv show.
