In this fight for life, a silent vow is made: one of strength, endurance, and the determination to defy destiny.

She was working as a maid was going well for her.

She was popular, and her distinctive stature and appearance made him stand out. She had many friends and was fairly confident she could seek protection while staying at the Rowoon Palace.

But she did not realize that just one person could completely change her entire world, including her emotions and thoughts.

She did not notice him at first.

She had seen him once or twice, always holding a book outside, basking in the sun. She did not pay attention to him, even though he was very attractive.

Long, straight blond hair that glitters like gold in the sunlight.

His eyes were the color of the sea and could look into someone is heart and soul.

He never noticed her, and she never tried to notice him.

She never got in his way, and he never looked her way.

And then came that library, which changed everything.

The young man her gaze followed sat on the window sill, holding a book in his arms. Like a picture-perfect work of art straight from the canvas, she marveled at his beauty.

"Who are you?" The prince asked.

"I am Thalia." She bowed her head. In a palace, where the neutral prince lives.

"I am Calix."

His voice is so soulful and deep. It's like listening to a tenor singer's lullaby.

She didn't know this was the start of a change in her life.

"I told you to stay away from me!" She whimpered as the prince, whom she served with her whole life, backed her up against the wall. His lips came close to hers, and his strong arms grabbed his weak wrists and placed them on the side of her head.

"I would never let you go to that bastard Zed again."

He whispered huskily, his intent eyes on her as his lips brushed down her jawline. His hands went to her back and pulled her towards him.

She whimpered, crying in his arms like a lost child.

This is not right.

Very, very wrong.

Her father had already told her to return, but she refused to leave this man and earn the favor of another.

"Your... High..."

He silenced her with his finger, thumping between her lips.

"Calix, please..."

This is wrong.

"You are mine, Thalia."

Staring at his deep blue eyes. Her entire reservation vanished. The warmth of his gaze, the firmness of his grip—her heart was instantly filled to the brim with love and affection she tried to suppress.

Crying.

She would beg every god to allow her to be with this man.

"Yours."

She had sinned of falling in love with royalty.
