Chapter 2: First day of school

Kaze woke up and started getting ready. He smelled something coming from downstairs and boy,it smelled delicious. He ran downstairs and said "Good morning, mo-" before he saw Machiko preparing breakfast. "Onigiri( 🍙 this thing here) is on the table tamagoyaki is coming up, here,take a bowl of miso soup 🍲 ."and handed him a steaming bowl . "Since when can you cook ?"asked Kaze. "Okā-san taught me . I thought I'd give her a break for once since she's pregnant." replied Machiko. They heard the sound of keys in the door  lock . The door opened and it was Sanemi, their father . "Good morning,  kids, sorry if I startled you , I just came back from night patrol." he said and yawned."Here, eat something and go to bed." Machiko told him . "But I have to drive Kaze to school." he protested. "I can take the bus with Yoshikichi. And Machiko doesn't have school because they're renovating the junior high department." Kaze reassured him. Then, their mom came down stairs. "Wow, smells good, who's cooking? I hope it ain't Sanemi." she said. Sanemi opened his mouth as to protest, but Machiko quickly shut him up by shoving a tamagoyaki in his mouth. "Morning, Okā-san, I made breakfast." Machiko said, giving her dad a 'Don't say anything or I swear to God , I will kill you ' glare. Half an hour later Kaze was ready. He preferred the seifuku uniform ( if you don't know what that is, look it up, Baka) over the serafuku ( look it up, Baka.) , because the Serafuku looked way too girly. He took the bus with his Cousin, Kamado Yoshikichi. Kaze wasn't supposed to be in high school yet, but he was so smart, he skipped two grades. The day was pretty normal, except they didn't have proper lessons, it was just them getting to know the new teachers better, the students stayed the same. After school, Kaze showered and got changed into his yukata. He ate dinner with his family. The conversation during dinner( aside from his parents asking how their day was) went like : "Okā-san, when are you telling us if it's a boy or a girl?" Machiko asked. "We don't know yet and if we knew,not until the baby is born." Kanae said and rubbed her pregnant belly gently. "But I want a best friend, I want a girl." Machiko said and pouted ."Yeah, I want a mini Machiko. " Kaze said. " Wait and see. "." If it's a girl, can I name her? " asked Machiko." Do you have a name already? I'm only four months pregnant. "" Yes, I want to name the baby Asuka if it's a girl. " Machiko said." That sounds cute. " Sanemi and Kanae say in sync. Even Kaze smiled. Then, he went to bed and while he was listening to the silence, he must have fallen asleep.
