I shivered as the snow continued to fall down. I had been on my way to visit a relative, when some....creature appeared out of nowhere. This caused my driver to swerve off the road and we crashed. My driver didn't make it, but unfortunately, I did. Now, I was stuck in the middle of nowhere. Injured, with no clue where the nearest civilization was. Where the road is. And with zero supplies to keep me alive.
"Fucking forest." My teeth chattered out.
It just so happened we crashed while in the middle of a snow storm. Although I was wearing comfortable clothing to keep me warm, I might as well have been naked.
The snow melted through my clothes and stabbed at my skin viciously. I wasn't sure if I was hearing things, or if there were eyes. In the dark. Watching me.
Best to get out of here as soon as I can. God knows what's out here.
I stumbled forward, desperate to get away from whatever was in the dark. If there was something.
After a while, the sun began to rise and I silently thanked whatever God there was for having mercy on me. I heard a crow in the distance and tried to find it only to no avail. I desperately clawed through the forest. The path I was on became narrower and narrower.
I have to be on a mountain. That's the only explanation for this sudden closing in.
I clenched my jaw tightly and fought through the cold and lack of energy in my body. By now, I was running on pure determination and hope. A slight cry escaped my lips when I stumbled onto a cliff, which oversaw a village. But there was something else.
A large, dark, looming castle.
A huge windmill.
A factory.
And....?
That's it?
I squinted my eyes in search of some other building. But the only thing I saw was a path leading between mountains. It seemed as if it was hiding something.
I hesitantly dragged my eyes away and looked back to the village. It was....well, functioning, to say the least. It felt as if I had traveled back in time to the 1900s. The houses were built differently. There were zero roads and no modern fast-....no. Scratch that. There wasn't ANY sign of recent technological advancement.
Are these people isolated from the rest of the world?
I looked for the nearest path down and sighed when I realized the distance between me, and the closest house in the village.
"Fuck." I groaned and was about to take a step when a voice spoke from behind me.
"You're not from here, are you?" A firm, but somewhat soft voice spoke. It didn't need to demand for authority as anyone who heard it would immediately do whatever they were told.
I turned around quickly and took a step back. I was met by....?
"What the fuck are you?" I blurted out by accident.
A blonde woman stood there. But, she wore some sort of strange priest custome. She had a sort of halo on its side behind her head. Feathers were at her feet, but there were also six wings coming from her back?
The woman eyed me with such intensity I began to get embarrassed at my begrudged state.
"What's your name?" The woman asked, seeming to ignore my comment.
"...Y-Y/N." I answer hesitantly.
The woman smiled and walked towards me. I was beyond terrified but my legs couldn't move. Neither could my eyes. It was as if I was in a trance. Enchanted by a goddess.
She caressed my face carefully, as if feeling around for any flaws. Her fingers had some sort of metal claw on them, which were sharp but they didn't knick me. A shiver ran down my spine and my heart began to race quickly. It was as if I was a rabbit facing eye to eye with a wolf. I felt so vulnerable.
The woman looked me up and down again and pursed her lips slightly.
"You don't seem fit enough to run experiments. However, Donna has been looking for a servant to handle her estate. I think you will do quite nicely." The woman spoke to herself.
"Who's-" Everything suddenly went dark and I fell into a deep sleep.
