Anything after that was unreadable...
The writing was muffed and we weren’t able to make anything out of it.
“ Damn, it all! I wanted to read it till the end..”.
Ayudha let out his anger on the table by slamming his fist on it.
Unfortunately, we weren’t able to read further, but now we possess ample insight into
the workings of this village.
“ Couldn’t this old man go senile after completing the dairy?”
Ayudha said letting out his build-up anger.
“ It’s fine Ayudha, we already have more than enough information now..”
I said to Ayudha who was making a painful face.
“ Are you planning to tell this all to others?”
Ayudha asked me.
The atmosphere inside the room changed.
Right now Ayudha was testing me. He was waiting for an answer out of my mouth.
Without hesitation, I stated what I was thinking.“ Nah, I don't think they are in the right state of mind to read something like this.. it’ll only lead to
another killing that we need to avoid at any cost.
Ayudha's face softens.
“ So do you have a plan ?”
I started biting my nails.
“ No, nothing at this moment.. but it’ll eventually work out..”
There’s too much information that I need to process and making a hasty plan will only lead to
more demerits than merits.
But the most important thing of all that Ayudha and I found out wasn’t about the village but the
possibility of someone among us helping the masked guy.
The question was in my mind
And I opened my mouth to say something.
At the same time, Ayudha said something too.
“ Are you a traitor?”
The voice reverbed in the small room.
It wasn’t just the voice but the meaning behind it was heavy too..
The trust we built up until now was at stake and one wrong can lead to game over.
With a laugh Ayudha said
“ Huh! You were thinking the same thing as me.”
To be honest, I didn't expect Ayudha to care about these things but I can’t say.
Maybe he just doesn't want to become a target or look for a thrill by trying to join the masked guy
too.
“If we need to work together then we need to trust each other.”
I said to Ayudha who has a broad smile on his face.
“ That’s true but you know what? I know you aren’t a traitor.”
Ayudha said it with so much confidence it made me wonder about a few things.
“ How can you say that?”
“ You didn’t tell about the incident with Iva, if you did then you would have easily initiated the first
lynching. You helped to solve the cases and if you wanted you would have killed me here and no
one would have found me.
I already turned my back on you multiple times but you didn’t attack. That’s your answer..”
That’s Ayudha for you,
He can act dumb sometimes but in the next moment says something impressive which made
people doubt how to judge him properly
But Ayudha can’t be studied like a book.. he is complex which makes him one of the best assets
in this game.
“ Well, then I’ll trust you too. There were multiple chances to kill me at any point but I’m still alive.
But if you let me live to use me as a pawn then that’s cool. I’ll smash your plan in bits and get out
of here..”
I let out my bare thoughts without any second thoughts...
Ayudha started clapping.
“ I would never expect anything less from you Ayama.. telling me that you trust and doubt me is a
nice way to get out of a situation like this but I’m not sure if it’s going to work on other people...”
Ayudha sprouted out a word that I was unfamiliar with. But ignoring it, we are two people down and close to the culprit.
Why I’m saying two people is because I don’t doubt Ayudha.
He may be unhinged sometimes but if he was the traitor then this game would have already
come to an end..
“ So should we head back ?”
Ayudha asked me after putting the diary on the table...
I looked at my wrist watch and it was already 4:30 am ( 21 JANUARY 2020 )
By the time we reach the surface, it’ll be safe to wander and reach out of dorm rooms.
I gotta make preparations and check a few things too.
While I was lost in my thoughts
Ayudha sneaked behind me and lightly gave a chop on my head.
“ What’s cooking in your mind ?”
Ayudha asked...
“ Aah.. nothing. Let’s get out of here first.”
I said and led the way out...
After putting everything back at the place in the mansion we headed out.
