Alright so...it's basically been an entire year since I last put up anything for this story and I've found myself in a difficult spot. Don't get me wrong I was interested in making my own story for fun and everything but whenever it popped into my mind, I couldn't think of how to progress it more, it seemed more like an arduous chore than an interesting hobby.
I think it's about time I officially put this on hiatus.
I've thought about this for about a week now and in all honesty, I even considered abandoning this story altogether, discontinuing it and focusing on something else...but I looked back on what i have published and remembered that I swore to myself I would keep this going until the very end. And I shall.
I swear that someday in the future, it might be next month, it might be next year, it might be even later than that, I will pick this story up again, I think a break from my guilt of not posting anything in ages will help in future chapters and stories. After that I can come back to it with a calm mind, ready to tackle anything this story throws at me.
However, I don't want to stop writing altogether, that would be useless and not help my writing at all. So, in the meantime I plan to make smaller things here and there relating to some of my favourite franchises out there, I don't love just the Zelda franchise exclusively, there are others out there that I think I can make small projects out of and maybe even crossovers the likes of which I could only dream up otherwise.
I will kick-start this off with a Oneshots book filled with various mini tales of the many diverse iterations of Hyrule titled 'Tales from Hyrule and Beyond' so watch out for that, the first tale is coming soon and will feature the Hyrule of one of my favorite Zelda titles of all time; Twilight Princess (don't worry, I'll focus on as many as my creative mind will allow so it won't be just that Hyrule).
Just know that this isn't the last time you'll hear from me and I will be back in business with this book soon. Had I not thrown myself into the deep end straight away, I think I would be pretty punctual in regards to updates but we all make mistakes don't we?
So hang in there because this is not the end, make sure to keep an eye out for the first installment in my oneshots book and never be hard on yourself because if there's one thing this situation has taught me is that you shouldn't pressure yourself just because you didn't do something a certain way, and always seek new opportunities elswhere in life in order to grow and better yourself.
Sorry for that little philosophical bit there, couldn't help myself. On a side note but not entirely untelated, I might make a meme book with all my favourite memes from my favourite franchises, let me know if that's something you would be interested in!
Anyways, I've droned on for too long hehe 😅
