*** With Gojo***

"Special grade vengeful cursed spirit, Rika Orimoto... was fully manifested for 422 seconds. We left Okkotsu with you precisely to prevent this type of situation. There are no excuses... Satoru Gojo..."

"Well, to be honest, I wasn't planning on making any..."

"How can you joke about this?! Remember, this involves that girl as well. Sending them together in their most recent mission, was dangerous! You know what her family is known for... had Rika Orimoto's presence been summoned, an entire town could have been destroyed!"

"I would have risked my life to stop that, and as for [Name], who's to say she'd follow in her family's footsteps? Wasn't that mission enough to prove they are both to be trusted? "

"Indeed, Rika Orimoto was not manifested during their time of collaboration, but that does not disregard the possibility of it happening again. Okkotsu has already failed to control Rika Orimoto's presence, and we cannot ignore that!"

" I understand, but we know next to nothing. How did this girl, Rika Orimoto, who has no history of sorcery in her family, become such a powerful curse? You can't control what you don't understand. What we learn will come from trial and error. Please let us be for a while."

"Don't forget Yuta Okkotsu's secret execution has only been postponed..."

"If it comes to that, don't forget I'm on Okkotsu's side."

*** Present ***

I could feel the grass beneath me as I sat on top of its green color. The sun shone down on me, which made me feel grateful for the loose clothing I decided to wear today. My body was lazily leaning against Panda who sat next to me. I stared ahead at Maki and Yuta who had been sparring. However, it looked more like a beating session as Yuta continuously failed to block Maki's hits.

I noticed Gojo's familiar figure approaching us from a distance.

"Hey, hey, everyone," he greeted, "How are you feeling?" He asked Yuta who had turned his body towards his teacher.

The boy seemed to have no response to his question, as he stuttered out his words. Not too long after, Maki's wooden staff delivered a hard blow to Yuta's head. I watched in slight pity as Maki scolded him for leaving himself open.

In a serious tone, Maki asked, "You were going to hit me once, right?"

"...Yes!" Responded Yuta.

Maki swung her staff at Yuta, who managed to block it with his blade. She retracted her weapon, which gave Yuta a chance to close in on her. He aimed his sword at her body, but before it could make contact with her torso, Maki who had also been ready to strike, quickly leaped up from the ground and over the boy. As soon as Maki's legs made contact with the ground, Yuta, once again swung his sword, but to his surprise, she dodged it as her legs stretched into splits.

"No way!" He spoke.

Together with my other two classmates and our teacher, we observed as Maki skillfully made Yuta lose his balance and fall to the floor. I raised my eyebrows in mild surprise when Yuta requested another round.

I decided to acknowledge Gojo's presence, who stood beside me with crossed arms.

"Hello, sensei," I greeted.

"Hello, [Name]!" He greeted back.

"It's been three months since Yuta came to this school. He's now able to move a lot," spoke Panda.

"Salmon," agreed Inumaki.

"He has become a more positive guy," Gojo commented.

"Yeah, Maki seems to be having fun too. There weren't many chances for her to spar with another weapon user..." Panda trailed off, almost as if he had found the reason why.
