Rosalie's Violet

Prologue

Violet's POV
I sat in the very back of my stepmother's minivan, in the left corner.

My stepsister was in the opposite corner of the back seats, with my half sister in the middle of us (The little tyrant was thankfully asleep). My two stepbrothers were in the aisle seats. My stepmother drove the van while my Sperm Donor was in the passenger seat.

I didn't like my father. He only married my mother to get access to her inheritance from my grandparents.

My mother was a beautiful blonde, summer child that loved wholly and passionately. She was in love with life and couldn't get enough of it. She fell in love with my father who charmed her with false promises and fake declarations of love. He cheated on her throughout their marriage and she didn't find out until she was in labor with me.

My mother died due to complications in childbirth and my father quickly married his mistress (A woman who was also married, but divorced her husband to marry my father, whom she thought was about to inherit millions from my deceased mother).

My grandparents discovered his treachery and rewrote their will, leaving me everything. The will was airtight and I would inherit everything for my 18th birthday.

We were currently on our way back home from vacation (something my family had reluctantly brought me on), and I watched the forest as we drove past. I had originally been re-reading my copy of Breaking Dawn, but got distracted by the beauty of the forest.

I got lost in thought about the Twilight Saga, this may be a bit controversial, but....

I hate Edward and Bella's love story. I found it extremely toxic. They constantly manipulated and gaslit each other! How is that the ultimate romance?!

I'll admit when Twilight originally came out I, (an innocent and naive 8 1/2 year old girl) got swept away by the Edward and Bella love story, and I too wanted their love story for myself.

Then I turned 14 and woke up, and realized how awful it was.

Edward, was a manipulative narcissist who was Carlisle's golden child that got away with everything! He literally bullied Rosalie in the series and Carlisle allowed this!

Then S. Meyers made a misogynistic, pick me girl, Mary Sue character the inspiration for preteen girls!

I only liked the Twilight series because of the side characters. All of which had unnecessarily traumatic backstories! Thanks for that S. Meyer! Not only Edward and Bella deserve a happily ever after!

I, personally, think that Meyers screwed over so many background characters; Leah, the Denali sisters, the witch twins, Jasper, Jacob, and (my personal favorite) Rosalie all deserved better!

Leah deserved to have a second chance at love after her fiancé and cousin (Also her sister figure) stabbed her in the back! I mean, Meyers literally says that imprinting can be platonic and it's WHATEVER the imprint wants/needs. Emily literally stole her cousin's man and wants to act all innocent when she's not!

Then the pack makes her feel awful for feeling upset over it!

The Denali sister lost their mother and never found their mates, so they've been wandering around alone for centuries! Then Tanya falls for Edward (why? I don't know personally. She could do so much better!) and he rejects her and chooses a human bloodsinger over her! Irina loses her mate to wolves and is forced to live without him, before committing suicide with the Volturi in front of her sisters!

The witch twins were tormented by the villagers just because they had psychic powers to give people karma, before they were abandoned by their mother to be burned at the stake! They were 13/14 in the books! They were still children!

Jasper was literally brainwashed and manipulated by his creator who made him think that she was his mate! I also personally think that he was mentally, emotionally, and sexually abused by Maria!

Jacob spent his whole life in love with Bella, only for her to choose Edward over him not once but three times! And at one point when he thinks that he and Bella have a chance to be together it turns out that she was manipulating and using him! Then he imprints on her daughter and gets called a pedophile by the fandom (Again it can be platonic and he insists that he sees her as a little sister or best friend!).

Finally, Rosalie, was raised by her parents to believe her only value in life was to be the pretty wife of some wealthy man! Then she gets engaged only to be gang raped and tortured by him and his friends!

Then Carlisle violates her a second time to turn her into a vampire as a mate for Edward!

That was his only reason!

He robbed her of any peace for some asshole! And for the icing on the cake, Rose now can't have the one thing she wanted, to be a mother.

But you wanna know the worst part of this entire story is? Bella didn't have to suffer from any of this!

She got to keep her human life and become a vampire!

She got to be a mom!

She got to keep her human family (That she always took for granted!

And she got her fucking immortality with her 'mate'!

She didn't even want to be a mom! She didn't want to have Charlie in her life! All she wanted and all she cared about was Edward!

It's not fair!

Sorry, I got a little heated there.

I just get so mad over this.

Primarily because Rosalie looks like my mom, and Bella looks like my stepmom. I guess I'm mixing my personal life with a book series.... But I can help but feel that so many people were wronged in Twilight.

Rosalie deserved to be a mom, not Bella.

I wish that Rosalie was my mom.

My thoughts are cut off when my stepmom suddenly swerves off the road and sends us rolling off the hill we were driving along.

The sounds of metallic crashing and blood curdling screams resounded in my ears, before we crashed into a tree. A sharp pain emits from my chest and I look down to see that I've been impaled by a tree branch.

Then, everything grows black.
