Blaze bounces and I laugh as the car is being locked up and a large bag in hand.
"This is going to be so much fun! I can't wait to be in the water." Blaze rambles and I nod at every sentence. "There is Ms. Stella."
My head jerks over as she walks from the boat shop door with Aunt Rachel. Blaze tugs my hand over and Aunt Rachel looks over with a wide smile.
"Hi guys!"
"Hi, Aunt Rachel." I hug her back as she pulls me into a tight hug. When she lets me go, I turn to Stella. "Hello Stella."
"Hi, Jade." She attempts to wave but a fishing rod and a box in her hand keeps her from waving well.
"Going fishing?"
Stella nods with a wide smile. "Are you going for a picnic?"
"I am taking Blaze on the boat today."
"I am going to learn to swim." Blaze beams and takes my hand as Aunt Rachel went back into the shop.
"Wow Blaze that sounds like so much fun." Stella smiles at him.
"Can you swim?" Blaze tilts his head.
"No, I cannot swim." Stella laughs a bit nervously.
"Dad can teach you." Blaze looks up to me and pulls my arm.
Stella's eyes widen and she looks to the docks then swallows. "That is okay Blaze. You and your Dad have fun."
"Are you afraid of water?" Blaze frowns when I look down at him and he mumbles. "Sorry."
Stella gives a laugh that sounds like nerves. "I just never been on a boat before but I am not scared of water."
"You are welcome to join us if you want?" I offer and her eyes widen looking to me.
"Really I don't want to impose."
"You're not. The boat is plenty large enough you can still fish and I can teach Blaze to swim too." A smile forms on my face.
Stella looks to Blaze and then her gear in hand before slowly nodding with a smile. "As long as you are sure."
"Positive." I smile and jerk my head as I turn and Blaze jumps to spin around. "This way."
All week I have thought about asking her on a date. This would be great for us to get to know each other.
We all get to the boat and put our bag in before taking Stella's fishing gear. I help Blaze in then turn my head and hold a hand out to Stella. She hesitates. "I won't let you fall into the water."
She nods and takes my hand I can feel her shake a little, as she steps into the boat. "Now the other foot." I smirk and hold my laughter in at how she seems frozen. Finally she is in the boat and I untie the boat before starting the motor and driving us out further onto the lake.
