Who would have thought the clumsy teacher is being asked on a date? I sure never did after my last relationship went up in smokes because of my clumsy ways that I can't help. Now I have this smoking, sexy man asking me out and he has seen my clumsy nature!
"Yes." I smile and his widens.
"Good." He winks and I can't stop staring at those white teeth. "Let's get in the water."
"Uh, I can't swim." I state like we hadn't been over this.
"I know. I want to teach you."
"I have no bathing suit on."
Jade laughs. "Your shorts and shirt work just fine. Though I would suggest removing the life jacket. It can guide you to get the proper movements but to really learn not being a small child helps to not have any security tape of sorts."
"I think I just got called old." I foriegn shock.
Jade's eyes widen and then his cheeks turn a little pink. "I didn't mean." He pauses and I laugh.
"I am just teasing but I am twenty-eight."
"We are the same age then." He smiles then jumps into the water.
I glance back and see Blaze sleeping on the bed still. "What about Blaze?"
"We aren't leaving the boat and he will come out when he wakes and say something." Jade motions me to jump.
"I don't know CPR and aren't you supposed to wait like two hours before getting in the water after eating." I stall.
"You don't have to no. I know CPR." Jade motions again.
"You know CPR?"
"Yes I do." Jade smirks.
Immediately my mind goes to wondering how his lips would feel against mine. Would that be soft and sweet like in my dreams or would his tongue demand tasting mine?
"Jump Stella." Jade laughs and motions yet again.
Taking a breath, I close my eyes and just jump off the back of the boat. A small splash happens as I feel the water on my legs. I open my eyes and feel strong hands on my hips.
Slowly, my body lowers into the water and I can feel as Jade kicks his legs in a lazy motion. I swear his muscles have muscles as I slid against his body.
"I told you I would catch you." His words come out a deep timber and almost whisper like.
Just like that my panties flood the lake. How is it even possible to tell arousal while already in water? Never has my body reacted in such a way.
"Don't let me go please." I stutter as my brain goes back to the very large fact I could drown.
Jade moves a hand from my waist and my hands clutch his shoulders tight. His fingers move my head so we are looking eye to eye. "I am not going to let you go."
My heart rate calms back down and my breathing slows.
Jade smiles softly. "Now." he clears his throat. "First you need to move your feet."
He goes through the steps of swimming and puts me on his back after explaining it. "Hang on around my neck and let your legs move on top of mine to get a feel."
I nod and he moves me onto his back. My hands go to his shoulders and hold on as I watch his hands and feeling his movements and breathing. I mimic them and do it all but my hands.
"Hold on tight." Jade turns his head back. "Slowly release your breath when down."
"Huh?"
"We are about to go under."
"How can you see?" I screech lightly and he laughs.
"Open your eyes once under." He laughs and takes a breath.
I instantly follow taking a breath then close my eyes just before my face touches the water. My hearing goes funny being under the water but I can still hear some bird noises. Slowly I open my eyes and it doesn't hurt like I had feared. My lungs burn and I push air out but it tickles when the bubbles leave my nose and I push all the air from my lungs.
Panic begins to set in as my lungs squeeze all the air out of them. I let go of Jade while my hands and legs move just as I felt Jade do and I break the top of the water, sucking in a lung full of air. Next to me, Jade pops up and wipes his face.
"Are you okay?"
I nod and tell him about what happened.
"There is a good thing."
"What is that?"
"You're swimming." He holds his hands up and I smile wide not realizing I am still treading the water on my very own.
I laugh and then control my breathing before I swim in a circle around Jade. After a few more minutes, I move to the ladder and Jade follows. I climb up the ladder with ease and my clothes feel so heavy now being soaked with the water. Jade climbs up and I wring out my clothes the best I can before stepping up to the main floor of the boat.
My eyes see Blaze still sleeping peacefully before I sit on the seat again. Jade joins me as his arms are laying on the back.
"What is it you do Jade?" I ask as I pick up my soda bottle.
"I am a doctor."
Explains him knowing CPR. "What area?"
"Emergency room is my field." He smiles as he sips his soda.
"So you really do save lots of people." I smile and he laughs.
"I have to say you're the very first I have saved from falling three times." He smirks.
"Lucky me." I smile as my cheeks burn.
"Hi." Blaze smiles as he walks up from the bunk area.
"Hey Blaze. Sleep well?" Jade hugs Blaze when he sits down between us on the bench.
Blaze nods then turns to me. "Can you show me how to fish?"
"Sure." I smile. "If that is okay with your Dad?"
Jade shrugs. "Have at it."
Blaze claps and we all walk to the front. Jade lays against the panel of glass with sun glassses on while Blaze and I sit on the front behind the rail. I go through explaining how to bait a hook before casting the line out.
"This is it?" Blaze watches the bobber in the water.
"Until we get a bite." I nod.
"Swimming seems like more fun." Blaze sighs but refuses to move his eyes from the bobber.
I giggle lightly and rub his back. "Just wait until we get a bite that is the fun part."
"Okay." Blaze nods. "Come on fishy bite."
I can't help but snicker and hear as Jade chuckles behind us.
