The car came to a stop in the middle of nowhere, nothing illuminating the night but a stray streetlight and the light from the porch of a small building. Vanth pulled into the small driveway, sliding the black car into park. He turned around and fixed his brown eyes on Quinn. Her eyes were wide, observing the small house outside.

"...Where are we?" she asked, unconsciously folding her book shut.

Vanth slid out of the car, opening the door for Quinn. She stepped out awkwardly.

"Okay you need to get rid of those," Vanth said, staring at her leg braces, shutting the door and locking the car.

It wasn't until he stepped into the light of the porch that Quinn got a good look at the man. His reddish brown hair was curly, as she'd first noticed. Large curling rams horns grew from his skull, making him seem intimidating. His legs were what caught her attention, bent at the heels, balanced on the balls of his feet. White claws tipped his toes. A long whip-like tail brushed the deck, all of it skin toned. Just like hers. Vanth caught her glances as he knocked on the door.

"Like I said. We're demons. Not like those minions of Satan and all that. We're a species of our own, but we're secretive. That's why you were made to hide your legs by wearing braces," he replied, his knock on the door was responded by several footsteps.

"Hey kid, you in there..." snarling noises echoed from inside as something struck the solid Plexiglas door. Muffled noises echoed from inside.

"...You let me out of here you bastard!" the sound of splintering came from the door. "I'm gonna rip you to pieces if I see your ugly face again!" more splintering.

"Calm down, it's not my house you're wrecking," Vanth replied calmly.

His sentence was met with several spikes piercing the door. Whoever was inside was inspired by this and continued to try and break the door down.

Quinn stood well away from the door, using Vanth as a human shield, she did not want to deal with whatever psycho was trying to break out of the house. But why was he trying to break the door down? The window would be much...oh. The windows were covered in thick metal bars. Fun.

Quinn's unease deepened as Vanth slid the key into the lock, pausing for a moment before he opened it. A tall male figure barreled out of the doorway, his skull slamming against one of the posts holding up the roof, it shook dangerously, but the awning didn't come falling down on them...yet anyway.

The blonde haired man...no, he was younger, maybe seventeen or eighteen. He was a demon for sure, he was almost as tall as Vanth, those strange bent legs, long tail and horns. His horns however looked different, they curled up around like Vanth's did, yet they were much thinner and had spikes all around the outside. And it was those spikes which kept his head securely stuck to the post.

He spat a string of curses as he desperately tried to pull his horns free, but they were embedded deep and weren't getting unstuck without help. Vanth chuckled in that evil way, the accent making him seem all that more amused.
