It was a peaceful day in the Southern Water Tribe village. Both the Tribe and the Raven Clan were going about their day like normal. Four kids, Sokka and his sisters Katara and Luna, and their friend Erik were having a snowball fight. But they stopped when black snow started falling. The men of the village immediately grabbed their weapons prepared to fight, and the women and children run to hide.

Katara: We're going to find mom!

Katara and Kara run off to find their mom while Sokka runs alongside the warriors. Erik saw his father fighting a man in black and red armor.

Their blades then lock, and it looks like his father had the upper hand. But then the viking grunted in pain and dropped his weapon as the soldier pulled a blade that was attached to his wrist, out of the boys father.

Erik: NOOOO!

His father collapses to the ground. Erik sees an axe on the ground, picks it up, and charges at the soldier. The soldier sees the boy charging at him and sends a blast of fire that grazes his right cheek and he falls to the ground clutching his wound as the man walks up to him but was stopped by a man in Fire Nation armor.

Later that night, the Raven Clan was having a funeral for their dead and Erik's father. The ships were their bodies laid and drifted away. A woman walks next to Erik, holding a bow. The woman was Evior, Erik's aunt. Evior and other vikings holds their arrow over a flame and as soon as the tip of the arrow was lit they drew back on their bow string and releases the arrows and hit the boats setting the cloth covering their body on fire. A little while later every one head back, except for Evior and Erik.

Evior: He's in Valhalla now, with your mother.

Erik didn't say as he kneels and draws the symbol in the snow.

Erik: The man had that symbol. Do you know what it means?

Evior: Yes, I do.

Erik: What is it?

Evior: You're not ready to know.

Erik quickly gets up and looks shocked and confused at his aunt.

Erik: What?

Evior: You're too young to understand.

Erik: I want to know!

Evior: Soon! But not now.

Erik then looks down at the ground as Evior walks up to him and places a hand on his shoulder.

Evior: Tomorrow, we start training.
