After a few hours of sleeping during the flight, I was woken up by the pilot announcing they had landed over the loudspeaker.

I stretched, watching as everyone began to gather their stuff to get off and I did the same. Monty helped with my carry-on bags as I held the carriers that held my furry friends.

"Did you have a nice nap?" He asked as we entered the hallway into the airport.

"Yeah, it was surprisingly calm." I hummed, blinking the sleep out of my eyes as we headed to grab our luggage.

Monty smiled when he looked down at me. "That's good to hear. When we get to my house you can go back to bed."

That's right. Even though the majority of the night had passed, it was still only a little past three in the morning. "Sounds like a plan."

When we grabbed our luggage, Monty called for an Uber as we waited on a bench outside. The ride was quiet as I watched out the window, wondering how long the ride would be.

It wasn't long at all when we entered a neighborhood with lots of massive houses separated by rows of tall, thick trees. There was no doubt these homes didn't belong to just about every wealthy person in Georgia, separated from the rest of the state.

After a few minutes of driving through the winding road, the car pulled into a driveway and Monty grabbed his card to pay for the ride.

I opened my door and looked up at the house, the interior lights dimmed. When the driver left the driveway, Monty began walking to the front door. "C'mon, it looks better inside."

How could such a majestic piece of art look even better? Despite my doubt, the detail of the interior made my jaw drop to the floor.

I thought beautiful things like this only existed in dreams or movies, but maybe I was wrong. Or I was still dreaming on that plane.

Either way, I wanted to enjoy it while I could. "It makes sense why you need Housemaids now."

He smiled, kicking his shoes off and pulling off his coat. "Yeah. I'm sure there's still a few here if you want to meet them before heading to bed?" Monty hung his coat on the rack before walking through a few archways and around a corner, flicking on a light in a different room.

I followed him, looking around what I assumed was a living room. "Okay."

The flooring was wooden with a few animal pelts and rugs in front of a sofa and coffee stand. On the other side of the room, an excessively large TV hung from the ceiling in front of a massive window.

The lamps around the room had the perfect amount of light that spread beautifully around the room, leaving no a single corner dark and gloomy.

As I continued to look around in awe, Monty had fetched the housemaids and led them to the room I was standing in. "Y/n! This is Claire and Addalyn, two of my night-shift workers. Claire and Addalyn, this is Y/n. She's gonna be staying for a few months."

I smiled warmly as they took turned shaking my hand. "It's very nice to meet you two."

"And it's nice to meet you, too! I'm glad someone's here to finally give this man some company." Addalyn called as she headed back to a different room she must've been working on.

I laughed as Monty seemed to have taken offense. Once both of the Housemaids had left the room, he led me up the staircase by the front door into a carpeted hallway. "It sounds like you're friends with your housemaids, huh?" I asked.

He hummed. "Mhm. No one else to talk to, really. My teammates have their own wives and kids and it's not like I can try meeting someone that doesn't already know me in public."
