In the quiet confines of the hospital room, Hope lay still, her eyes closed as she drifted in and out of consciousness. Beside her, Haechan's breathing was shallow and labored, his form wrapped in a tangle of wires and tubes as he fought to regain his strength.

As the soft hum of machinery filled the air, a gentle knock echoed through the room, drawing Hope's attention. With a weary sigh, she opened her eyes to find Mark standing in the doorway, his expression a mixture of concern and relief.

"Hey," Mark murmured softly, his voice tinged with emotion as he approached the bedside. "How are you feeling?"

Hope managed a weak smile, her gaze flickering to Haechan's still form beside her. "Better," she replied hoarsely, her voice barely above a whisper. "But Haechan..."

Mark's eyes softened with understanding as he took in the sight of his injured boyfriend. "He's going to be okay," he reassured her, his voice steady and reassuring. "The doctors said he just needs some rest."

Hope nodded, her heart heavy with worry for her beloved Haechan. "I know," she whispered, her voice trembling with emotion. "But I can't help but feel responsible..."

Mark reached out, gently squeezing her hand in a gesture of comfort. "It's not your fault," he insisted, his voice firm with conviction. "None of this is. You're both survivors, stronger than you know."

As Hope leaned into Mark's touch, a sense of gratitude washed over her, filling her with a warmth that chased away the darkness.
