CHAPTER: 6

Joseph was breathing heavily, and his face was full of gloom. He looked even paler than before.

Paige looked at the full of gloom 'Justin' and had a glimpse of his bloody hand. Blood was tickling down, soaking the floor. "You......What are you doing?"

As soon as she finished her words. She quickly looked at the wall, examining if something was broken. She was already in this state and if this 'Justin' break the wall, how the hell she was going to pay?

She really wanted to shout at him. but at this moment he looked very scary just like a ghost. looking him like this she didn't dare to say anything. But she didn't put anything strange into her dishes. How could it make him run out and cripple himself?  And even if he wanted to hurt himself, did he need to do it in front of her house and destroy her property?

This mad man!!

Joseph didn't respond her and was about to leave when his cell phone suddenly rang. He glanced at the unknown number and his face grew even darker. He immediately cut the call.

At this moment, he raised his sight and looked at Paige, "Go in."  His voice was low, cold and suppressive with a hint of gloom.

Paige was very sensitive. At first, she really wanted to ask him what was wrong with him and if she had offended someone. but looking at his sullen eyes, she felt 'Justin' was very scary.

She slowly started going back into the room, one hand was holding onto the door, and one was comp templating whether to lock the man outside. Joseph didn't notice her hesitation because his cell phone rang again.

This time, it was not an unknown number. But the name 'Frank' displayed on it. He didn't hesitate to answer the call now.  "What does he want from me now?" 

on the other side of the phone, Frank said respectfully. "He is asking you to bring his daughter in law to his place for dinner, tonight."

Joseph coughed and laughed. "Don't bother with his calls in the future anymore."

Frank nodded on the other side, " Alright. He isn't my boss and doesn't pay my salary after all."

Joseph put on the phone on his pocket and rubbed the space between his brows. It was obvious that he and his father didn't have a great relationship and now it seemed that his father was more interested in his wife than himself.

He sighed and turned around only to find out Paige was still standing at the door hesitating whether to close it or not.

He raised his brows. "Eavesdropping on my call?"

What? Eavesdropping on him?

" Of course not!" Paige shook her head rapidly.

Paige felt she did a big mistake by coming outside to check on him. It was better not to offend this 'Justin'.

"Then why are you still standing here?" Joseph raised his brows and took a step forward, looking down at her. A playful expression appeared on his face and his lips rose into a smirk. " Or you've already thought it Cleary and willing to give up that crippled cousin of mine and follow me ?"

Hearing this, Paige turned around and closed the door, without hesitating. Joseph didn't flinch when he saw that he was locked out heartlessly.

He originally thought of staying two more days here as he wanted to find out the person he was trying to chase. He was even tracking everyone's movement through the window of the apartment. However, he couldn't find out the man. It was as if that man had disappeared.

Since the person he had been finding wasn't here, there was no need for him to stay in this place anymore. 

besides, even though the new wife of his wasn't a beauty, but she was certainly a smart and a kind woman. She would never do anything to interfere with him. He might as well give her some peace during this period of time.
