Living Quarters
Ronin leads me to living quarters and opens the door. As he begins suiting up I take a moment to check out my, or rather our room. A concept I was exactly fond of, but I'd have to make do. Shouldn't be any problems, Ronin doesn't seem like a terrible roommate.
It's pretty much what you'd expect in a Woodland Mansion, without the imprisoned allay's, vindicators, evokers, etc. The walls are made of dark oak planks and a couple logs for a less mundane look. A couple of painting reduce its blandness even further. I paid a considerable amount of attention to the painting named "Wither". Then of course, you have the birch planks for the floors, and while I'm not that fond of birch, it doesn't look bad in here. A blue double bed sits directly in front of me, undoubtedly it belongs to Ronin. Towards the back of the room is a closet he's currently rummaging through. To the left of the entry way lies a ladder leading to an area above it. Within the space of indoor balcony lies a red bed that must be meant for me, and crafting table across from it. Definitely not as spacious as the area down below, but it'll do.
I place my things down and suit up, putting on my stealth suit and arming myself with my bow and a singular arrow, no need for more since the bow is enchanted with Infinity I. I take my shield just in case, and a couple of lamb chops. Afterwards I jump down from the indoor balcony and wait outside for Ronin. Ironic, isn't it? Not long after, he emerges from the doorway, armor on, shield on his back, and sword to his sides. "Finished?" I ask, a blank expression masked by my purple hood. "Yeah, apologies for the hold up. We're taking horses by the way." he says, making his way towards what can only be assumed as the path towards our transportation. "As long as they're fast." I mumble, catching up to him.
_________________________________They were fast, not sure why I was expecting the contrary. According to Ronin, they're the fastest horses they have, and they stay hungry, but apples are easy to find. The demolished compound comes into view as the sun set behind it. We stop just short of it and dismount our horses, tying them up to some nearby fences. "Been a long time, never thought I'd come back here." I say as I take in the damage I had done long ago. "Holy shit, did you ever work as a demo-man?" Ronin says, taking off his helmet and gazing at the destruction in awe. I chuckle, "Nah, all it took was a bit of time and flaming arrow. Kaboom." I say, a smirk hidden under my hood. "Hope I'm not around when you're blowing something up. Anyways, we should start searching, just look for anything that could be of use."
We split up, checking chests, breaking down rooms to doors, the whole nine yards. It was like a treasure hunt, only there's no treasure. "This place doesn't have jackshit!" Ronin whisper yells to me from across the room. "Maybe we're too late, Jackson did say he was going back and forth from here to another place. It's very possible what we're looking for he's already taken." I respond, considering all possible scenarios. Then it hits me. I walk around, feeling the walls and dragging my feet lightly against the ground, hoping to hit something. "What the hell are you doing?" he asks, a frustrated yet curious look in his face. I refuse to answer, and my fingers hit something. A button. I whisk myself around towards Ronin, pointing to the button behind me.
"We've been looking for treasure amongst someone else's pile of trash, one that they frequent. What we did not take into consideration was the fact that no one with sense will leave their treasure out in the open. Treasure will always be-" I pause, hitting the button behind me, which opens up a wall horizontal to us. "In a safe space." I finish, pointing to the wall that's opened up. A dumbfounded look is plastered on his face, I couldn't help but chuckle. "This, this is why we need you man." he says, evidently having mustered the ability to speak. "Yeah, I got that memo. Now, let's begin the real treasure hunting." I say as I walk into the secret area.
We search the place, and while it's not much, it's enough to get us started. The biggest clue we found was a book filled with random notes, and a couple pieces of paper, bunch of random words written on it. "Mole" "Storm" "Amulet" "Wither Skulls" a list of commands, nothing that seems to have any sort of meaning, at least, not individually. Erebus isn't insane, not enough to write random meaningless shit on a piece of paper. It's all pieces to a jigsaw puzzle, one I don't have time to put together right now. "That everything?" Ronin asks, glancing at the items he's placed on a nearby table. "Everything of importance. We should get out of here before he comes back , this is search and seize." I say, looking down the hallway we came, wondering if he'll open up this secret "door". Hoping he doesn't.
Just as we begin to head out, Erebus starts heading in. I've got an easy way to get past him, Ronin however, does not. I can't leave him either. "Shit, what do we do?!" he whisper yells to me. I point to a chest behind me, "There's a pickaxe in that chest, grab it, and start digging, close up the wall behind you. We'll meet where we left the horses." I say in a voice just loud enough to heard by him alone. He nods, grabbing the pickaxe and digging into a wall place the stone bricks behind him. After he's out, I crouch, thus activating my suits invisibility and disappearing just as Erebus pushes the button, opening up the false wall once more. He goes in, I go out, completely undetected.
I made my way back to the horses, and eventually, so did he. Took him longer considering he had to dig. "I need a suit like that." he says as he walks over to me. "Easier said than done, trust me." I respond, recalling the time I killed a gang of wizards for said suit. "Still want to know where I can get one." he says plainly, to which I respond with "No, one, because I have no clue, and two because I didn't get this the way you think." I say as I hop onto the horse, with him doing the same. "Killed someone didn't you?" he asks in a way that tells me he knows the answer to that question. "Yep, now let's ride." I say as my horse begins speeding through the plains, with Ronin following suit.

POV: Erebus
"Someone was here, someone stole my notes, someone is going to die! No matter, the plan is already in effect, and once I give him the signal, that command block will be mine. Whoever has my notes won't be able to piece them together, and even if they do, it'll be too late."
