Courtney's POV
Third put us back in the meeting room where shit all started, he told the Italian county and his other ally to keep an close eye on us. He went out to contact who I believe is Soviet. I sat down on the table and Erick was kinda forced to it across from me. The Italian country sat next to me and the Japanese country sat with Erick. There is an very awkward silence and both me and Erick are bored out of our minds, I went to look through my backpack to check up on the cat in there. I then spotted an uno box and decided to play that game to kill some time.
"Yo! Who wants to play UNO?" I spoke up."What is UNO?" Asked the Italian
"It's a simple card game, if you want to play I could teach both of you." I suggested
The Italian slowly nod and the Japanese Empire agree to join in the game. I tried to shuffle the deck which didn't go very well so Italy had to help. I gave everyone 7 cards each, the game has begun right as I flip over the top card at the surface of the deck in the middle. Erick is first, I am Second, Fascist Italy goes third and finally the Japanese Empire. I went over the game rule and they were quick learners, the game is basically matching the colors or numbers. There are also special cards that has paths you need to choose, when you only have one card left you have to shout UNO. If someone else shouts it before you do you have to draw +4 cards. I flip over the surface card and it is a red 4.
"I have never heard of this type of game before." Said the fascinated Italian
"Not a lot knows this game." I blurted out quickly slapping down a 6 blue after Erick placed down a. Red 6.
We went around the circle for some time, I placed down my card and waited for the country next to me to go. We found out that he wasn't really paying an attention and his mind is some where else.
"Uhh, sir Italy?" Erick waved his hands in front of the country.
"Uh? Oh my apologies for keeping you three waiting." He placed down his card that is matching my cards color.
"I forgot that the two of us never introduced ourselves to you two." The Japanese country said while bowing down. " My name is J.E shot for Japanese Empire, you can also call me I.J which is Imperial Japan."
"You can call me KOI short for Kingdom of Italy, but you can also call me Fascist Italy aka F.I." The Fascist said.
I don't know what to say so I only nodded, then game continued for a while until a problem occurred to our friend Fascist.
"JUST GIVE ME A BLUE CARD OR A NUMBER 3!" The Kingdom shouted in annoyance since he had to keep grabbing cards from the deck.
"Finally, got it." He slammed the card on the table " J.E it's you turn~."
I saw a evil smile forming on the Empire's face, he is going to make that country's life miserable. He slowly put the card down and removed his hands away. A blue Uno reverse card. That means the turn goes back to the Kingdom, surely he has a blue. The country literally have half of the deck pile in his hands. I glanced at his face and I saw his orbs move up in annoyance.
"I hate this game already." He huffed while reaching for the cards on the decks.
The first card was a blue 4 so he gotten lucky. The empire decided to cut him some slack (is that how people say it?).
"Erick, kid your turn." J.E spoke up.
"Huh? Oh sorry."
I looked at the card he placed down, and I began to sweat, a +4. I look through my cards which was only ten or so for another +4, today luck was in my side.
