Aaradhya"Life puts us into so many hurdles to know if we're worth it or not,", I said to Tara, who was looking down at her intertwined hands. "I don't think so," she said with a strained smile. I gently smiled at her. After a small minute of silence, I started to speak again. "So tell me, Tara, who is your favourite person in your life?" I asked her. She looked a bit confused. "My grandma" she answered. "Do you share everything with her?" I asked her. She nodded her head as yes. "Does she call you by any name?" I asked her again. Her eyebrows knitted in confusion. "Bubble", she answered with a hint of hesitation in her voice. I smiled gently and sat straight on my chair. "Do as I say, Tara. Close your eyes" I said. She did as I said. "Now take in a deep breath", I said and paused for a few seconds. She did as I said. "Now let it out", I said. She exhaled slowly. I repeated this a few times until I could visibly see her relax a bit. "Now imagine you're in a beautiful garden, beautiful flowers surrounding you". She nodded her head. " Now imagine a door far away from you. A beautifully decorated door. It's in your favourite colour and your favourite design; picture it as you wish," I said and paused for a few seconds. "Imagine you're slowly moving towards it. You stumbled at some places you fell at some places. But you gradually reached the door," I said. "You kept your hands on the door knob to open it, and a sudden sense of warmth filled you. You opened the door, and there you saw your grandma waving and smiling at you" I paused for a minute. "Suddenly, all those senses of warmth you felt faded away and were replaced by loneliness and pain" I paused. Tara kept her hands on her chest, gently squeezing her shirt. I smiled in satisfaction, knowing my trick was working. "Your grandma came near you, gently taking your hands in hers. She made her way to a table. She made you sit in the chair and poured you a cup of tea" You said "What happened bubble? This isn't the bubble I knew. My bubble she is strong and can do anything to bring justice. What happened dear? Asked your grandma. What will you reply Tara?" I asked her. Tears streamed down her face as she tried to speak. "Nana, I failed, Nana," she said, crying. "I failed," she said as her lips trembled and tears continued to roll down her cheeks. "The guilt is killing me, Nana", she said. 'Guilt', I creased my eyebrows in confusion. "Times when I lose a case, I don't let myself feel so low. I will find out what my mistake is and try to correct it. But here I did nothing, Nana. I gathered all the evidence. I did everything in my will to prove the child's innocence, but" she paused, taking in a deep breath, she continued ", But those rich jerks, they shamelessly pointed out the child as the guilty", she said, crying harder. I rose from your chair and sat next to her, wrapping my arms around her shoulder, gently caressing it. She screamed and cried for few minutes and slowly calmed herself. " I am sorry" she said wiping her tears. "You don't have to be sorry" I said gently patting her back. I stood up from the couch "So, how do you feel now?" I asked her leaning against the table. "Better" she said sniffing. "Listen Tara, you still have chance to win. Reopen the case again and get help from people like you, who are willing to help people," I said, folding my arms. She nodded. "I am not letting that sick bastard live in peace until I bring justice", she said. I smiled at her. "I am happy for that. And also if you wish I'll give you Mr. David's contact details. He'll feel very happy about helping you," I said. Her eyes widened in shock. "Mr David. You mean The judge David who's known for his honesty?" she screamed in shock. I nodded my head smiling.
"You know him?" She asked me. "I do", I said, smiling at her. "I'll really appreciate your help in this", she said, smiling at me. "I am glad then", I said and sat on my seat. Opening the bench draw I took out a card and handed it to her. "Contact him by today. I'll inform him about you" I said. "Thank you. Thank you so much," she said, smiling brightly. "If you need anything, just give me a call," I said, smiling. "Sure," she said getting up from the couch. "Can I.. Can I have a hug" she asked hesitantly. I stood up, opening my arms for her. "You don't have to ask for that", I said. She engulfed me in a warm hug and whispered thank you. I smiled gently patting her back. She left smiling widely ironic to how she entered.I sat back smiling. Stretching my arms and legs I prepared to leave. A sudden knock interrupted my relaxing session. "Come in," I said. Andria came in, opening the door, and for some reason, her face seemed tensed. "What is it, Andria?" I asked her. "Actually, Mam, someone no three is here to meet you", she said, giving me an apologetic smile. I sighed "Can't they come tomorrow?" I muttered to myself. "Ask them to come in," I said, smiling. Few seconds later I heard another knock. "Come in" I said. The moment I saw who the three were my eyes widened in shock. It was...
