Chapter 5: The Married Couple

Today is a beautiful and sunny day. Drift wakes up and decides to look out the balcony. Drift seems happy, and it's very strange for him to act this way. Wonder why? That's right! He and Grim are planning to go on a honeymoon for a few days, in a fancy hotel near the beautiful Cybertronian Canyon. Sadly, since there are rarely any Oceans and Lakes on Cybertron, not many of them have places to stay in. Maybe, there might be in the future when they will become more interested in how humans have hotels and spas near places like that. The two were let to take a few days off from work since they are very great at their job and the only ones that are older than the rest of the workers. Drift and Grimlock have already prepared their bags for the trip and stay at the hotel. There is not much to carry as they don't need clothes or a lot of traveling materials. What about Slipstream Jetstorm and Sharp-T? They are finally let to live alone as they are mature adults, except Sharp-T. He still has the mind of a child but he is slowly growing out of it. The Mini-Cons always wanted to be home alone for at least 3 days and their dream came true. The train leaves in an hour so they have to get prepared to leave.

Drift: Alright, we have everything settled. Now before we go, are we missing anything?
Grim: Nope, everything is ready. However, once we arrive there, we will have something to miss.

Drift smiles as he knows what Grimlock is talking about.

Drift: Don't worry about it too much. We will only be out for 3 days and they'll do just fine.
Grim: Okay. *relief sigh* So, our train arrives in an hour. It's best if we leave early.

The couple gets out of the house and the Mini-Cons are looking at them, standing at the door.

Drift: Alright. Slipstream, Jetstorm and Sharp-T, you're home alone for 3 days.

The Mini-Cons get excited.

Slips: We will be at our best responsibility.
T: Mhmm! Uoy nac tnuoc no su!

The parents wave goodbye as they transform and drive off. The three walk inside and start making plans for the day.

At the station, Grimlock and Drift arrive just as the train is about to leave. They sit in their seats and are ready to leave Kaon. The train is nice and it looks similar to a first-class airplane that humans have created. As they are traveling, Drift being the one next to the window, looks at the view of their town. It looks beautiful because of the sunrise. They exist Kaon City and are traveling on land with no buildings. In the distance, they can see Iacon City from afar. That is where Strongarm and Fixit live, while the Driftlock and family, Bumblebee and Sideswipe all live in Kaon. At least their cities are close to each other and because of how small Cybertron is compared to Earth, they are much closer than people think. Now, the Canyons are past Metroplex City so they should arrive there in 4 hours. As they enter Metroplex City, the two are amazed. It feels like the city is massive. The last time they were in the city was when the explosion of Doradus happened, destroying multiple cities around including Metroplex. Well, it's only fair for Metroplex City to be back just like how Iacon is now rebuilt after it was completely devoured by Underbite. So much has changed in Cybertron in the past 25 years, not to mention that there is also a city named Prime City, a resemblance to Optimus Prime's sacrifice in restoring Cybertron. Metroplex City must be the most populated city on Cybertron because of how advanced it looks. They arrive at the Metroplex Train Station and exit the train. They have to go on the road from here. Sadly, Grimlock being a Dino can't transform into a viecle and has to walk to get there. The hotel is 30 minutes away from Metroplex. Grimlock begins his journey by jogging to the hotel. As they arrive, they look around. It has a beautiful garden, a lovely view of the Canyons, the big hotel and the lovely staff there. They get in and are given the keys to their room. It is on the 2nd floor. As they enter their room, it feels like home but a bit fancier. Grimlock lays on the bedroom's bed and feels relaxed. Drift joins in and tests the bed.
