"PAPA!!" I felt the arms wrap around my waist. Hugging me. It was my apple of my eye. My one of the reason of being able to go on life.

I bent down to match eye level with him.
"Chaarvik." I said. Smiling at the boy that is my entire reason to still believe in goodness.

"Papa!. You took so much time. Are you okay?. You look pale." Chaarvik pouted. Touching my face with his tiny palms.
I reassure him, I am alright. I can't let him know I actually fainted. I am very glad that when all that happened there was not much commotion.

"Acha, Chaarvik. Did you complete what I said to you?" I asked ruffling his hair. Standing up and holding his soft hands in my palms. And leading him towards the dining table. I carried him in my arms and settling down on the table.

"So, what's your name?" I asked.

"Chaarvik Bhagwani!" He responded with all the enthusiasm he had.

"What's your age?" I giggled

"Six years old!" He smiled. Showing his 6 fingers.

"And what do you say when someone asks your parents name?"

"I say, my father is Samroodh Bhagwani." He stretches the letters in my name. I giggled at his cuteness. He is my bundle of joy. He is joining the school in few days. It's hard to believe he is already 6 years old.

I saw my father walking towards me as he held a nice plate of fruits. Must be for my boy. He was a fussy eater. A lot like me. However, he loved fruits. So every often my dad would prepare some fruits plates for him and specifically him.

I might be the big man, but my boy was the man and heart of the home. He brought me so much love and peace to my heart. In my desperate situations as well as the painful situations. He held my hand and said papa it's going to be alright.
He was fixing the pieces he never broke. He was a child. But he had no idea how much value and importance he holds in my life. I can give up my life for him. Chaarvik was my apple of eye.
He was the one and only reason next to her.

"Are you okay? Why do you look pale." My father asked me. As he kept the fruit plate on the table and Chaarvik had made himself comfortable to eat the fruits.

I made a sign language to my dad, that I am fine. He unfortunately had lost his hearing 7 years ago. He was alright before until he lost it one day completely. After that it was tough for him. However, he has been doing better ever since he learnt how to sign. I learnt sign language and taught Chaarvik to sign as well.

DEV BHAGWANI is my father. I was born in Kolkata. My mother, DILARA BHAGWANI , who was a German geographer had visited India back into those times due to her profession and had fallen in love with my father.
My mother stayed in India for very long time due to her profession.
They had me, here in Kolkata. However, due to some reasons, my mother had to leave to Germany. My father and I had to stay in India as of due to my father's job here. I stayed with my grandparents and then my father had left for Germany during 2016 (January) in hopes of meeting my mother there, I was 21 back then. And my legal works, and many important events of my life was here, in India.

However, the one event changed all our lives and Chaarvik came into my life.

My life wasn't an easy one. I learnt to accept good and bad with open arms. Today, life has given me new opportunities to be able to feel happiness all over again.

Although, I cannot accept this happiness.
Afraid it'll break every ounce of mine.
