CHAARVI MEETS HANSI

I did not just asked her on a date. As I smiled and kept my eyes on the road. Trying not to scold myself with what I just pulled.
'I promised I wouldn't come back into her life. And now I just asked her on a date.' I thought.

"I'd agree to fix a date for our marriage instead" She said with no pauses. No hesitation.

I stopped the car completely mid way. Thankfully, we were close to her school. I looked at her. She was looking at me biting her inner cheeks. She looked so gorgeous in the gold and pink suit and bangles. She was fully in an Indian attire. If I had the chance. I'd marry her right now. But I couldn't comprehend what she just said that.

"Sorry?" I said trying to appear confused. Starting the car again. Clearing my throat in the process of trying not to blush or appear shocked.

"N-nothing. Let's meet on Sunday." She said. I now had arrived near her school. Dropping her there. And even waving her a goodbye. After she left. I let out a big sigh and a tiny scream inside my car for what I did just now. Rubbing my face with my palms and messing my hair due to the mess that I caused.

I had decided I'd stay away because of all that happened in the past. I do not wish to become her trauma again. My emotions that felt happy turned into a sad mess.

I walked inside the school after waving him goodbye. I greeted  few teachers on my way. They complimented my face being radiant today. Absolutely. Because I met with my future husband.

As I was going towards my class. I saw my students trying to console a child in front of the class. I arrived and asked them what happened. The child was sniffing. Seemed he was crying.

"What happened, Ankita?" I asked Ankita, one of the student in my class. With her was Ansh. Her not-so-secret crush. They were cute together.

"Good morning, ma'am. Actually. This little one is new in the school. And got lost. He stood here. Crying a little. So we were consoling him. Asking him where he has to go." Ankita said in a sad tone. Ansh nodded at Ankita's words.

"I see. Go inside the class and prepare the attendance sheet. And tell everyone that I am here. I will talk to this little one. Okay?" I handed my handbag and files to my students. As they waddled back inside talking. I went on my knee to face the little one with his height.

"Ki hayeche? What happened, baby. " I wiped his tears softly. He was now getting hiccups due to the crying. I pulled out the water bottle that hung from his neck gently. Opening the bottle cap. Giving him some water. He didn't drink the water. Shaking his head in a no.

"I-i miss paa. I can't find my c-class" He stuttered in between the hiccups. I hugged the little boy soothing him. Carrying him in my arms. And letting him lay his cute face on my shoulder. Patting his back in a round manner to sooth his little hiccups.

"Arree. Aisi baat hai.Koi nehi. Acha muhje Bolo favourite colour kya hai aapka?" I asked as I patted his back softly. Trying to distract him.
He lifted his head from my shoulder and answered.

"Bloo." His hiccups had stopped now, gladly. The little mispronunciation just made my heart burst into awws.
"Acha ji. Bloo hi kyun?" I asked as I walked towards the principal's office.

"Kyunki muhje sky pasand hai." He wiped his nose with his hand. Immediately, I took my dupatta to wipe his palm and nose. Using a cleaner side of my dupatta I cleaned his cute face. His eyes were exactly as brown as it needed. Although they were red right now due to the crying. Cheeks so fluffy and a nose that oddly reminded me of Samrudh.

"So, what is your name?" I asked.

"Chaarvik Bhagwani." He chirped.

"I see. What is your father's name?" Before he could respond. I got called inside the principal's room. I lowered Chaarvik from my arms to the floor but still held his hand and went inside the room. Chaarvik held my hand and his other hand held the last end of my dupatta like a toy. Walking with me inside.

Greeting the principal I asked about Chaarvik's details about the class. Turns out he was a first grader.
Taking Chaarvik out of the principal's office. Holding him in my arms. Still asking him questions like what is his favourite cartoon, favourite food, etc. within few minutes, he had warmed up to my nature quickly. And he was obsessed with holding my dupatta's end. Did this one grow up watching Srk?. Although, I found it highly adorable.

I went to his class and dropped him there. Giving him hugs and kisses. He was such a cutie pie and absolutely an intelligent little fella. If I have ever have a kid. I want my kid to a be little like Chaarvik.

"Bye, Pretty miss." Chaarvik waved with his little hands. I was getting cuteness aggression at this point. I left for my classes humming my favourite song. Meeting Chaarvik felt like destiny. Holding him felt like I knew he was a little piece of mine. I don't know. I don't know how to explain the love I felt for this kid. I do not know his parents. But they did a great job at raising this wonderful child.
I must say, it feels like a connection has hit off the chord with this little one.

I arrived inside my class. It was already few minutes late. They had left for the assembly. I fixed the files and set up my table. Before again walking out of my class. Arriving for assembly. Mid way I bumped into, Mr. Chirag. He was our maths teacher. Wonderful man. Although, he tends to get a lot of comments behind his back because of his talent as well as his mouth being fully honest.

"You are looking very pretty, Miss Chowdhury. " The 40 year old man chimed and complimented me.
I nodded in appreciation. As we chatted a bit about the school curriculum. Out of nowhere he exclaimed he had to say something to me. Making us pause our conversation. We had already arrived in the assembly. As we stand and watch the assembly go on.

"You will get back what you lost." He said looking at me serious. With a smile that I couldn't comprehend.

"Sorry?" I smiled trying to not to sound super confused but in politeness.

"Miss Chowdhury, time will change for you. "
