The bell rings...
Serena was in front of the classroom door, but she was not alone: she had a slim woman next to her, being just a couple of centimeters taller than her; her gray-toned plaid vest with matching tie along with her long olive green skirt, her caramel blonde hair pulled back in a bun, and her glasses with chains like those of a necklace gave her an air of seriousness and professionalism.
Serena on the other hand dressed simply: her brown hair was tied back in a ponytail, her favorite band T-shirt hidden under an orange sweatshirt, and her grey skirt made a little match with her white boots and black tights that stood out a little.
Then, the girl heard a firm voice.
—It's time to go in —the woman next to her said, she nodded her head and then both entered the classroom.
[Another point of view]
Writing...
A young girl with blonde hair was writing a story in a light green notebook, her twin sister was chatting with a red-haired girl; the clock on the wall showed the time: it was only a couple of minutes before classes.
She continued writing, but paused for a moment, adjusted the sleeves of her blue sweater, and pushed aside a part of her long hair that hid one of her green eyes. Her sister was still talking to the red-haired girl, her orange sweater making the twins a little matching, although one was wearing a pinkish skirt with a white bow and the other wore ripped jeans and a green beanie on her head.
The bell rang and in a few seconds the door of the classroom opened...
The twins observed a tall and thin woman enter the room, but she didn't come alone: she was accompanied by a girl with brown hair, tanned skin and was tall, even seemed to be taller than them; and her eyes, each of which was distinguished between a blue like a clear sky and dark brown like chocolate, were staring the entire classroom.
She also carried a purple backpack on her back that did not seem to go very well with her orange sweatshirt and grey skirt, and she held in her hands a kind of sports bag with a pattern of blue waves and of considerable size.
As soon as they entered the classroom, the young teen in the blue sweater quickly closed her notebook and everyone was silent, the woman next to the new girl cleared her throat a little and began to speak in front of the class.
—Good morning dear students, I am Miss Caroline Campbell, headmistress of Automne Feuilles High School, I welcome all the new students who are joining us, and I have come to this classroom to make an important announcement.
Murmurs could be heard all over the room, but the young blonde just fixed her hair a little and stared at the girl and the principal silently with her hands on her notebook, although she couldn't say exactly the same about her sister...
[Serena's point of view]
Serena was in front of the students, as soon as the principal declared those last words, almost the entire room went to murmur to each other; Serena began to feel nervous.
She knew exactly why was there...
Then heard Miss Campbell clear her throat, and as soon as she did, everyone fell silent. The principal continued her speech.
—As I said before, I came to this classroom to announce something important —she cleared her throat once more, but she didn't say anything for about 10 seconds, Serena didn't understand why she did something like that.
—We have a new student, her name is Serena Marshall; she's new here and was advanced in grade. From today she will be your classmate, I hope everyone will give her a warm welcome and treat her with respect —the principal finally announced in front of the class.
Serena felt the gaze of all the teenagers in that classroom, she knew that had to introduce herself, but...
How would she do it?
——————————————————
Great, another cliffhanger! I'm sorry but you'll have to get used to that a little bit more.
Serena's (new) life couldn't be more confusing, new house, another school, and of course, new faces.
Anyways, I hope you liked this new (and first) chapter, see ya!
