Yunho || Mingi
As the night wore on, they stayed lost in each other's arms, content to let the world pass them by as they basked in the glow of their rekindled love. And in that embrace, they found the strength to face whatever challenges lay ahead, knowing that as long as they had each other, they could weather any storm.
Hongjoong's expression shifted from blissful oblivion to startled surprise as he heard my voice. It was evident he hadn't expected me to be there, let alone to speak up.
I stood there, observing the scene with a mix of confusion and intrigue.
How did these two know each other? And more importantly, what were they doing hugging so intimately?
My eyebrows shot up in disbelief as I took in the sight before me. Hongjoong seemed to be in a slight panic, his eyes darting between Seonghwa and me as if searching for the right words to explain the situation.
But before he could say anything, Seonghwa let out a chuckle, his laughter warm and genuine.
"It's nothing, Yunho," Seonghwa reassured me, his tone light and teasing. "Just a friendly hug between new friends."
I nodded slowly, trying to process Seonghwa's explanation. It seemed plausible, but there was still a nagging sense of curiosity gnawing at me.
I glanced between the two men, searching for any hint of deception in their expressions.
"Ah, got it," I replied, my voice slightly hesitant. "Well, it's good to see you both enjoying the festival together."
Mingi joined in with a warm smile, his eyes crinkling at the corners. "Yeah, it's nice to see everyone getting along."
With the tension diffused, we fell into easy conversation, the night air filled with laughter and camaraderie.
And as we stood beneath the twinkling stars, I couldn't shake the feeling that there was more to this encounter than met the eye.
But for now, I chose to focus on the joy of being surrounded by friends, old and new.
After that, we decided to move away from the festival's chaos and find a quieter spot. Hongjoong and I walked ahead, our shoulders brushing against each other as we chatted about our plans for the next day.
"I think we should check out that new café by the river," Hongjoong suggested, his eyes lighting up with excitement. "I heard they have amazing pastries."
"Sounds perfect," I agreed, nodding enthusiastically. "And maybe after that, we can go to that art gallery you mentioned."
As we planned our hangout for tomorrow, I couldn't help but feel a sense of warmth and comfort.
It was nice to have something to look forward to, something that felt normal amidst the whirlwind of emotions that had been swirling around lately.
Behind us, Mingi and Seonghwa were walking side by side, their smiles practically glowing in the soft night light.
They kept glancing at us, clearly amused by our animated conversation. I could hear bits of their conversation drifting over, and it made me smile too.
"So, what does Seoul have in store for us this weekend?" Mingi asked Seonghwa, his tone light and curious.
"Well," Seonghwa began, a mischievous grin spreading across his face, "there's this rooftop party I've been invited to. It's supposed to be really exclusive, with some amazing views of the city."
"That sounds awesome," Mingi replied, his eyes shining with excitement. "And maybe we can hit up that jazz club you mentioned. I've been dying to check it out."
