INT. COZY COFFEE SHOP - AFTERNOON

Katie sits at a small, round table in the corner of a quaint coffee shop, savoring the aroma of freshly brewed coffee. The warm, inviting atmosphere is a stark contrast to the chaos of the past few weeks. She takes a deep breath, feeling a sense of peace she hasn't felt in a long time. Elizabeth and Jon, her two best friends from high school, sit across from her, their faces a mixture of concern and curiosity.

ELIZABETH:

(sipping her latte) So, Katie, how are you really doing? It must have been a crazy few weeks.

KATIE:

(smiling weakly) Yeah, it's been a lot. But it's nice to just sit here with you guys and forget about everything for a while.

JON:

(nodding) We've been worried about you. The accident, the hospital, and then there's Peck... I mean, are you sure about this guy?

Katie chuckles, her eyes softening as she thinks about Walter Peck.

KATIE:

I know he's not the easiest person to understand. Everyone sees this ruthless bully who will do anything to get what he wants. But around the time the accident happened, I got to see his sensitive side. There's a human there that just needed time to smooth out the rough edges. He needed someone to be patient enough to love him for who he is, not for who his rivals and colleagues think he is.

Elizabeth and Jon exchange glances, their expressions a mix of amusement and surprise.

ELIZABETH:

(laughing) Wow, Katie, that's almost like a Beauty and the Beast story.

JON:

(grinning) Yeah, except this Beast wears a suit and tie and has a vendetta against the Ghostbusters.

Katie laughs, feeling the tension melt away in the company of her friends.

KATIE:

(exhaling) It does sound a bit like a fairy tale, doesn't it? But it's real. And despite everything, I see something in him worth fighting for.

Elizabeth leans forward, her expression turning serious.

ELIZABETH:

Listen, Katie, we trust your judgment. But if Peck ever does anything stupid or hurts you, you can bet Jon and I will be right there with Peter, ready to beat him up.

Jon nods emphatically, his usually laid-back demeanor replaced with protective determination.

JON:

Absolutely. We've got your back, Katie. Always.

Katie smiles, feeling a surge of gratitude and love for her friends.

KATIE:

Thanks, guys. That means a lot. And trust me, if Walter ever crosses the line, you'll be the first to know.

They sit back, savoring their coffee and each other's company, the conversation drifting to lighter topics. For the first time in weeks, Katie feels a sense of normalcy returning. The chaos of her life with the Ghostbusters and Walter Peck fades into the background, replaced by the warmth and support of lifelong friends.

EXT. COFFEE SHOP - LATER

As they leave the coffee shop, the sun sets, casting a warm glow over the city. Elizabeth and Jon walk on either side of Katie, their presence a comforting reminder that no matter what happens, she is not alone.

ELIZABETH:

(cheerfully) Same time next week?

KATIE:

(smiling) Definitely. I wouldn't miss it for the world.

They hug and part ways, and Katie walks home with a lighter heart, ready to face whatever challenges lie ahead, knowing she has the unwavering support of her friends.
