That evening, April and I walked into my penthouse suit. The moon cast a soft glow through the floor-to-ceiling windows of my penthouse, illuminating the sleek, modern decor. As April made her way to the bathroom, the sound of running water mingled with my footsteps echoing in the spacious room.

As soon as she stepped inside, I didn't wait to undress and step inside behind her. My hands found her hip, and I drew her close, the warmth of my chest against her back. Always sent me in waves. The smell of her skin. My lips sought hers in a fervent kiss, igniting a flame that burned with primal desire.

Sensations heightened as my touch grew more urgent, lifting April effortlessly and pinning her against the cool tiles of the shower wall. The rush of hot water cascaded over us, melding with our shared breaths, our bodies moving in sync with a dance as old as time.

Moans of pleasure mingled with the hiss of the water, filling the intimate space with a symphony of desire. April's nails dug into my skin, her body arching to meet my every thrust, a melody of passion and yearning.

But amidst the haze of ecstasy, a sharp intake of breath escaped April's lips, a hint of discomfort creeping in. "Ah," she whimpered, her voice threaded with a slight tremor as she bit her lip against the sensation.

My movements stilled, my gaze softening as he registered April's distress. With a tenderness that belied my rugged exterior, I withdrew from her, cradling her close as tears welled in her eyes.

"I'm sorry, it hurts...I-I," she murmured, her vulnerability laid bare in the aftermath of their shared intimacy.

With a gentle hand, I wiped away April's tears, my touch a soothing balm to her wounded soul. "You don't need to apologise. We did have a lot of sex today. Don't ever apologise," I expressed, turning off the shower before guided her outside.

In the quiet sanctuary of the bedroom, I tended to April with a careful touch, applying soothing ointment to her tender skin. As she winced at the sting of the salve, I fetched cozy attire from my drawer, assisting her in dressing with a tender care that spoke volumes of my devotion.

Pressing my lips to her cheek, I ran my fingers down her arm to keep her calm. She had nothing to be sorry for. Laying down with her on the bed, I gently scooped my April to my chest, resting her head against my bare chest. My hand slowly ran up and down her back.

"I love you so much, April," I hummed, kissing her neck.

"I love you," She hummed before the two of fell asleep.

In the soft morning light that filtered through the blinds, I stirred from my slumber, feeling the warmth of April nestled against my chest. Her hand sprawled over my torso, a comforting weight that anchored my to the present moment. With a gentle kiss pressed to her forehead, I reluctantly tore my myself away as the shrill ring of my phone shattered the tranquil silence. I let out a simple grunt before reaching across to grab it.

"Yes," my voice, tinged with a hint of irritation, broke through the room as I answered the call.

"Luca, it seems our shipment has arrived earlier than expected. We can't leave them out of the open," Bruce spoke into the phone.

Bruce was an informant for me at the club. He was also one of my most trusted men to help with this type of shipment.

I cursed lightly, "Store them in the unused garage. I will be there soon," I instructed before ending the call. The phone call ended.

Looking over at April, I gently stroked her cheek, April stirred before her eyes opened, and a small smile made her lips, "Morning."

"Good morning, Angel," I spoke, pressing my lips onto hers gently.

April kissed back, placing her hand against my cheek. I pulled away a few moments later, staring into her eyes.

"How are you feeling?" I asked.

"Still sore but not too bad," she replied, a slight blush on her cheeks.

Looking at her, I know she must feel so embarrassed for last night. But she had no reason to be. We did go really hard pretty early on.

"I need to head to the club. Do you want to come?" I asked.

April smiled, following me as I stood up. Grabbing some of her clothes from my closet, April got dressed, placing on one of my spare leather jackets. Walking up behind her, I pressed my lips to her neck, inhaling her scent once again. Once we were ready, we headed down to the garage where April and I got onto my motorcycle.

Pulling up at the motorcycle club, I didn't hesitate to kiss April once again before explaining I had to deal with something in the garage. April nodded and headed into the club, I headed to the garage to oversee the inventory of guns meant for sale to eager buyers.

"Alright, Samuel and Peter, count every single item and load them into the trunk of the unmarked car. We're selling tonight," my authoritative tone cut through the bustle of the garage, prompting swift and efficient action from my men.

Entering the club, I looked around for April only to find her sleeping on one of the couches in the VIP room, which we normally hold our meetings. Tristian was watching her slightly before gtannjng a drink.

Toby began to walk over towards April, going to wake her, but I grabbed his hand before he could even touch her, "Don't you dare wake her up, I will kill you."

Toby gulped and backed off, I crouched down and gently pressed my lips to her cheek. "Sleep well, my angel," I whispered.

Knowing that she has night terrors when she isn't around me and also knowing her anxiety and ptsd get the better of her at times and when she can sleep. I let her. She works hard at the book shop as well, she doesn't really take any days off even though she doesn't need to work that many hours but I know it keeps her mind going and helps her focus.
