If you had been interviewed, you would imagine it would've gone pretty well because all of your classmates emerged relaxed, not looking like they had been kept too long over anything traumatizing. Unfortunately for you, your interview was postponed to another date before you'd arrived to school, and it was too late now to change it.

So even though there were still many of your classmates who had yet to go home because they had to wait for the officers, you decided to leave earlier after entrusting Mina with your gummy sharks (probably a mistake, honestly) and getting Kaminari's number to plan your hangout on Saturday that you'd honestly almost forgotten about.

You hoist your bag onto your shoulder and smile at your friends, sitting together near the door. "Bye!"

Mina looks up from her phone, waving enthusiastically at you, "Get home safely, [Name]!!"

"Yeah, don't die, dude!"

"Wait, before you go, let's exchange numbers, okay? [Name], do you check your phone a lot?" Kirishima asks, already taking his phone out of his pockets. It's a newer model for sure, and you can't help but balk a little at how much it would've cost.

"Not often, to be honest," You sheepishly admit, rubbing the back of your hand. It's less money to check your phone rarely, because then you don't have to charge it as much, and the electrical bill is just a fraction lower, and you don't have to pay as much for signal. "But let's still exchange numbers. I'll try and check often."

You quickly wave over Jirou and Mezou from where they're quietly conversing in the middle of the classroom. Mina starts a rapid-fire conversation with Jirou about the music that she's listening to, judging by the singular wireless earpod in one of her ears, and Mezou takes his phone out of his pocket as well.

Mezou's background is a picture of Fukuoka, which you recognize briefly from drawings of the place that you've done before. You stare at the picture in wonder for a second, and Mezou catches your eye. His eyes tilt up in what looks like a warm smile.

It's a beautiful picture. The city line is visible, but the lights aren't on because the picture is taken during a sunny afternoon. The sky, kissed with clouds across in fleeting bursts, beams down on trees. In the far distance, mountains are visible, gently rubbing their noses against the heavens. They look as blue as an ocean would. You would love to go there one day.

"This is the view from my grandmother's house," Mezou explains to you, showing you the background clearly, "That's Mount Sefuri. I live in Fukuoka."

You nod absentmindedly, taking in the beautiful contrasting but complimenting colors. The way that they just dance together so well, basking in the given light in a graceful and grateful manner is mesmerizing to you. The foreground, the city scape, is composed of mostly simple shapes that fit together like an elegantly simple puzzle where each piece is a collateral building storing the cargo of life in it.

And then Mezou's words really register to you.

Fucking hell, this kid lives in Fukuoka?

That's a four and a half hour flight from here!

"Isn't the commute really long?"

"Well, I don't commute everyday," Mezou unlocks his phone, handing it over to Kaminari, Mina, Sero and Kirishima for them to put in their numbers and take his into their phones without a fuss, "I rented an apartment here in Shizuoka. You're right, though. Fukuoka's very far, so I can't visit often."
