She never forgot that day.
Rosalyn, Matthew, and the rest of the Sapientia made it safely to 2010 and were able to stay in a house one of the group had bought many years ago. Rosalyn had learned that each had spent significant amounts of time in the past, which was why most of them were much older than her. They had indeed acquired positions of influence and hence had all the supplies they needed to live in the past comfortably.
Rosalyn went on to study English and became a talented writer. She helped in the production of novels and films which brought awareness to the importance of human rights and choice.
You may have seen one of her films "The Giver" which served as an adaptation of the novel and came out in 2014. She helped with the script.
She never forgot Jacob. Neither did Matthew. Each time she would visit, they would reminisce on Jacob and his passion for human rights.
"Do you think your stories and films will make a difference, Rosie?" Matthew had asked once.
"I can only do so much Matthew," she sighed, "their futures rest in their own choices and decisions. We can only hope that the awareness we bring will be enough to encourage them to never compromise their freedom for a daunting future."
