While Luffy, Jimbei, and Rayleigh took abroad of the marine ship to go back to the Marineford, the rest were worried about Ace when he suddenly ran off like that, so you decided to go after him, following the sound of his footsteps until you stopped when you saw him sitting on the rock with his face leaning on his knees while wrapping his arms around them.

You could sense the mixed emotions that were surrounding him, sadness, anger, fear, and shame. This boy must have suffered so much that he had to experience all that, there must be a reason why he behaved like that in the first place.

Snapping out of your own thoughts, you went to sit beside him.

Ace stayed like that as he knew who was beside him by the familiar scent of you that he smelled and after it felt like one solid minute he tilted his head to the side, eyeing you who was staring into the random space with what seemed like a longing gaze.

He admired the sight of you as a rush of adrenaline slowly made its way to his face and it didn't help when you turned your head to him out of the blue, startling the male and embarrassed because he got caught staring. He immediately looked anywhere but you, scratching his head nervously with a tint pink shade on his cheeks.

You couldn't help but smile at his sudden shy actions and speak up. "I won't ask you anything until you're ready to talk about it."

He stopped and glanced at you before his gaze went down, clenching his fists. "Say, Y/n... Do you hate me after knowing about my family?" He questioned, thinking that you already knew about his infamous bloodline but in reality, you don't have any idea about it.

You of course were confused at his statement as you blinked your signature dot eyes a few times. "Why should I?"

At this, Ace looked comically dumbfounded. "Don't you know my father is The King of Pirates, Gol D. Roger?!"

The name that he mentioned clicked something inside your mind as a man with a wide grin flashed into your mind. "Oh, Roger-san– Who the hell is that?!" You purposely choked on your saliva, coughing uncontrollably, shocking the other male at your unexpected actions. You almost spilled out about the meet you had with the three older males. 'Fuih... almost...'

You were quite sure the three males that were up there laughing at you right now.

The black-haired male helped you out, holding your shoulder, and fully turned your figure to him as he patted your back to ease the coughing. "Woah. Calm down. I know it's a shocking thing but I didn't expect you to be so surprised like that."

You regained yourself and averted your eyes, making an unimaginable face before lying through your teeth. "W-What? I don't know who is that." You were just too honest and bad at lying.

Your face obviously telling a lie which made Ace let out a laugh at your silly face. "Pfft–HAHAHAHAHAHA! WHAT WITH THAT FACE?! I KNOW YOU'RE LYING, Y/N! YOUR FACE IS SO OBVIOUS! HAHAHAHAHA!" He was dying of laughter while you just sat there with your flustered face.
