Y/n's heart pounded as the newcomer's words echoed in her mind. "It's time to come home." The command sent a shiver down her spine, pulling her back into memories she had fought hard to forget.

Pietro, sensing her fear and confusion, clenched his fists. "Who are you, and what do you want with Y/n?" he demanded, his voice firm and protective.

The newcomer smirked, eyes glinting with a dangerous light. "My name is Marcus," he said, his tone cold and calculated. "And what I want, Pietro, is none of your concern. This is between Y/n and me."

Y/n took a deep breath, trying to steady herself. She couldn't let Marcus intimidate her, not now. "What do you want, Marcus?" she asked, her voice surprisingly steady despite the fear coursing through her veins.

Marcus took another step closer, his eyes never leaving hers. "You left without a word, Y/n. You disappeared and thought you could escape your past. But you can't run forever."

Pietro glanced at Y/n, confusion and concern etched on his face. "Y/n, what is he talking about?"

She hesitated, the weight of her past pressing down on her. "It's complicated," she said softly, her eyes locking onto Pietro's. "Marcus and I... we have a history."

Marcus laughed, a sound devoid of humor. "That's putting it mildly," he said, his gaze shifting back to Pietro. "Y/n here used to be part of something bigger. Something she abandoned."

Pietro's eyes widened, and he turned to Y/n, seeking answers. "Is this true?"Y/n swallowed hard, the memories flooding back. "Yes," she admitted. "I was involved in something before all of this. But I left because it was wrong. Because I couldn't live with what we were doing."

Marcus's expression darkened. "And now, you think you can play the hero? Save a few lives and wash away the blood on your hands?"

Y/n's heart ached at his words, but she stood her ground. "I've made mistakes," she said firmly. "But I'm trying to make things right."

Pietro looked between them, his mind racing. "Y/n, if you're in danger, we can help you. The Avengers can protect you."Marcus laughed again, a hollow, chilling sound. "You think the Avengers can save her from what's coming? You're more naive than I thought, Quicksilver."

As Marcus spoke, Y/n's mind raced with a mixture of fear and determination. She knew she couldn't let her past mistakes define her, but facing Marcus was dredging up memories she had tried so hard to bury.

"We need to go," Y/n said, her voice urgent as she turned to Pietro. "Now."

Pietro nodded, his expression grave. "We'll figure this out," he promised, offering Y/n a reassuring smile.

But as they turned to leave, Marcus's voice echoed behind them, sending a chill down their spines. "This isn't over, Y/n," he called after them. "I'll find you. And when I do, you'll wish you had never crossed me."
