The families were gathered in their sleeping quarters as the night fell again, with coconut tree branches arranged in a neat manner to divide each family from the others.

Ashley bit her lower lip as Umukai brought her to his quarters.

Unlike Mukashe, who had two hammocks and was supposedly the parent of multiple children, there was only one hammock with Umukai's.

"Koto Përi" (here we sleep)

Umukai said. Ashley patted her neck and entered. Umukai grinned, but Ashley moved past him and took a seat on the floor.

"Ashley koto përi" (Ashley we sleep here"

Umukai added.

"No Umukai, you sleep there not because you helped me out there makes us friends, we're not friends"

As the rain started to fall, Ashley said.
Umukai glanced at Ashley before turning back to his hammock. He observed Ashley trying to stay warm by rubbing her shoulders.

He watched as Ashley nodded off, He slowly picked her up and place her in the hammock, He faced his fingers on her cheeks as she turned making herself comfortable.

Umukai went and sat on the cold ground, he couldn't take his eyes of Ashley, he knew she was determined to escape.

As the morning came Luna hurried to Ashley.

"Umukai sleep, shhh lets go fishing and see bathe in waterfall"

Luna said as ashley rubbing her eyes noticing she was in the hammock and Umukai was on the ground.

She quickly left with luna, just the two of them.

"Umukai loves you Ashley"

"Is he capable of love?"

"You are his first love and he cares for you"

Luna Added.

"I love someone else from home, he is my boyfriend"

Ashley said with a smile holding her chest but remembered Umukai have her necklace.

"Boyfriend? You love Boyfriend?"

"Very Much..I know he'll come for me"

Ashley said as they arrived at a waterfall. She stood at the edge, her eyes wide with wonder as she take in the breathtaking sight.

"wow... It's incredible"

She spoke softly as an arrow passed her. She heard Luna screamed as she turned around as blood spatted on her face.

The lifeless body of a hunter fall to the ground. Umukai with fear in his eyes hugged her tightly as she pushed him off.

"Luna, kamo kai yuwa, kamo Kai!?" (Luna, you know here is forbidden, Why?"

Umuaka raised his voice at Luna who bowed her head.

"Ko'wai wai, nape" (I'm sorry brother)

Luna said and run back in awful speed. To go against a rule in like asking for death according to what Ashley read.

Umukai saw the fear in Ashley eyes, from the tremble of her lips Umukai saw behind her stubbornness and he reached out his hand towards her face which was streaked with the blood of the attacker.

Ashley flinch slightly, her body tensing at his touch. But as Umukai wiped the blood from her face with cotton wool, Ashley felt a strange sense of calm wash over her.

Despise her ititial hatred towards him she wanted to see the kindness in his eyes whether his actions towards her was vs kind but all she saw was her parents head.
