-take a picture it'll last longer- CHAPTER 3

We got to the chateau and Pope and Kiara started a fire while I sat on the hammock with Jj, away from everyone else. It was kind of quiet and awkward so I decided to break the silence. " I just wanted to say thank you for standing up for me like that it means a lot to me."

"Of course. That's what friends do." Jj smiled at me.

"You know, when I got here I thought I was going to hate living in this place, but then I met you and turns out this place isn't that bad." I looked into Jj's beautiful blue eyes and quickly looked away when I saw him turning his head to face me.

"Is that so?" Jj asked me.

I nodded.

"You should hang out with us all the time then."

"Yea sure that would be really fun!"

I caught him staring at me and I started laughing.

"Take a picture it'll last longer." I laughed.

"Shut up." Jj said as he started laughing with me.

"Guys we're about to roast marshmallows so get your butts over there." Kie told us and walked away.

Jj got up and gave me a hand. Then he picked me up.

"What are you doing? Let go" I laughed.

But he didn't let go. Instead she carried me to the campfire, pretending to throw me in.

" I swear to God Jj, if you throw me into this fire I will get you." I told him

"You can't get me while your burning" he shrugged

"I'll just pull you in with me."

We started laughing.

"Ok stop flirting and let's roast some marshmallows!" John B told us.

"We are not flirting!"

Some time had passed and I was having a lot of fun. I never really had friends if i'm being honest. When I did have friends I stopped talking to them when my dad died.  My best friend Sarah also started ignoring me randomly last summer. I don't really know why though. I was depressed and didn't want to talk to anyone. I just stayed in my room all day moping around. So i've never had this much fun in a while. Jj got a blunt from his pocket and lit it with his lighter. I've never smoked before and i got a bit curious.

"Can I try?" I asked Jj. He nodded and handed the blunt to me. I took a puff and started coughing. "How do you do this everyday ?" I asked still coughing

"Of course it's her first time smoking." Kie rolled her eyes.

I don't think Kie likes me very much yet. I don't blame her though, I just met them she probably just needs some time to warm up.

"Don't worry you'll get used to it" Jj patted my shoulder.

After a while we decided to play Truth or Dare. Pope decided to ask first. "John B Truth or Dare?"

"Truth of course."

"Do you think you or Jj is the better surfer?"

"Definitely me" John B said.

"Yea sure im definitely better" Jj said back.

"I didn't know you guys surf. I used to surf all the time with my dad!" I told them very excited without thinking. Sometimes my mouth moves faster than my mind. If i actually thought about it I wouldn't have mentioned my dad.
