How long were we going to play the game of cat and mouse?

It's cowardly and I didn't want to continue, but I knew I didn't stand a chance.

I just stood there, knowing that I had a trick up my sleeve.

Pulling a pendant shaped like an ice crystal, I held it in front of me, and whispered, "don't get me killed Sandrone"

A fiery blue light illuminated the area surrounding me and Paimon, and shielded us from any more attacks. My heart felt like it was being torn out of me, but I had to keep pushing...

The red spark came again in his eyes and he dematerialized himself..

I realized this, and rushed over to see a note that read Aether's gone and you have nothing you can do about it!

"Paimon!" I called, beckoning her here, "I think... The Fatui has Aether!"

"No shit Sherlock" she says, shaking her head, bringing detective Paimon game face on.

"We have to head to Snezhnaya as fast as we can right now!" I exclaim, getting my bags and taking Paimon's mini hands and dragging her away.

It was quite some time since we had left Natlan.

We were freezing, and by that I meant that we were literally turning into ice. I still had this uneasy feeling about something. I wasn't sure but every movement I made seemed unreal and out of control.

"Paimon, after you were there for several days, sneaking in and out, did you find out when they leave to check the other surroundings?" I ask her, and she nods her head.

Great! We can finally sneak in!

"They should be gone in just a few seconds!" She nods, following me quietly into a corridor.

I just knew this place too well to forget. The cellars where they kept prisoners were downstairs. It was heavily guarded which means I have to do some fighting.

"Paimon! Stop looking at the pictures on the walls! We have to hurry!" I whisper-shouted at her.

She pouted and floated along, as fast as her 'wings' could carry her.

We looked around the cellars for Aether, yet he wasn't here.

We were running out of time and the guards were going to wake up soon....

I looked again once more, and found nothing but a suspicious case that had clinks and cluncks coming from it.

Deciding to open it, I grabbed out my knife and cut the ropes open, and twisting the lock open.

It was literally Aether inside!
