"You're not serious."
"I'm very serious," Taehyung says, his hands pulling at his face, elbows resting on the table. "He confirmed it to me himself and then Jimin showed me his entire photo gallery... he's his dad, he's his damn dad."The others gasp, considering that it's been the worst of luck. It doesn't seem so strange anymore that Taehyung is pale and looks like he saw a dead person. Knowing that the person who "stalks" you has the main prosecutor of the Korean ministry of jurisdiction as a father is terrible.
Not to mention that he almost calls her "filthy whore" to his face.
"What are you going to do then?"
"Shove his thoughts up his ass to see if they don't come out. That's what you have to do," Wooshik yells. "He finds out half of the things that are said here about Jimin, and there's no one who can escape going to jail. At most Jungkook."
"Between people with high sexual libido and great longings for lustful contact relationships with intentions of intercourse... they understand each other." Seojoon felt like punching Hyungsik in the face. It doesn't change what he wanted to say.
"Between bitches they understand each other."
"As long as you don't say it to their face, everything is fine. So we can be at peace with God and the devil."
"Better just avoid saying it." Seojoon encourages, patting his back. Taehyung whines. Yes, it's the healthiest thing. Although the doubts he has on top of him will make him explode if he doesn't say them.
The dynamic they maintain hasn't changed at all: Jimin invites him everywhere and Taehyung accepts whether under excuses or reluctantly. Nothing serious has happened and in general it's funny that Jungkook is always present whether near or far.
At the same time, there is a fair at the university. A kind of festival similar to those normally done in anime. Filler chapters. It's kind of an inside joke that plays out as he walk around the place. It's not something foreign to the university, it's just very out of place considering how busy everyone always is.
Making it seem like no one has time to breathe or even has a human soul: shells of knowledge and nothing more.
"Don't we have an exam tomorrow?" Hyunsik asks with his cheek full of Tteokbokki.
"That can wait." Taehyung says nonchalantly, feeding Yeontan. It's dog treats. He doesn't plan on poisoning his pet with kimchi or anything sold here.
Too spicy.
The smell alone could kill him.
"Although..." Taehyung frowns, something suddenly coming to his mind, "Didn't you guys have to hand in one of the blueprints you left for the last minute? That Baek-sonsengnim let you hand in late..."
As he speaks, the three of them turn pale. They gather all the food, even Taehyung's, and run out. The boy's shoulders and eyebrows drop. He just can't believe how carefree they can be sometimes. After finishing the little that's left, he walks further through the fair. There are a few stalls with items he can buy, but he's not sure how good they can be.
He has money, but it's the allowance his parents give him out of the goodness of their hearts. He's embarrassed to spend it on nonsense. It's there in case an emergency happens.
Not to buy manga...
Although Jungkook seems to be the complete opposite of that.
"Do you read manga?"
"Yep. Plus, Jimin wanted the latest issue of One Piece. He's been ignoring the reels I send him for weeks to avoid spoilers," Jungkook grumbles, carefully choosing what he's going to bring and what he can read online, "He loves One Piece. He's somehow up to date. I envy him."
"Well, without much studying to do, I guess he has time."
Jungkook scrunches up his face and looks at him grimly. Up and down, then snorting. He crosses his arms as the girl in charge of the small stand puts away the material.
"What do you mean? You think Jimin doesn't study? He reads more than you or me. It's law after all. If you don't learn all the laws from top to bottom, you'll end up being a failure. Not to mention you won't even graduate." Jungkook says in constant grumbling.
"His dad is Kim Nam-Joon. Does it really matter...?"
"Of course it does. That just puts more pressure on him, you fucking idiot." Jungkook takes the bag with the manga and Taehyung purses his lips, somewhat stunned and embarrassed in equal measure. "Don't you know he's the best student in his class? Because he is. There's a reason they say Ellen Woods."
"Is that him!? I thought it was a girl!"
"No! Where do you hear all the gossip that's wrong!?"
"When I'm just walking!"
"What a bad gossip you are." Jungkook looks extremely offended. Due to insecurity and with a minimum of confidence, he decides to continue with him.
Maybe this way he can get something clear:
"Is he really that good?"
"Being sexually active is not synonymous with being an idiot. Although being cute and having good grades probably doesn't save you from being an idiot" Jungkook comments with a cynical gesture and Taehyung glares at him. "On a more serious note: Jimin is just very flirtatious. He likes to float around everywhere like it's Equestria or something." Jungkook shakes his hand in amusement.
"Equestria?"
"AND ALSO UNEDUCATED! THE COUNTRY OF MY LITTLE PONY!" Jungkook reproaches him, about to push him to the floor.
Taehyung gets the idea and saying that Jimin is riding a unicorn is the clearest way to describe him. So confident and calm in the world that... yes. He's in that place of ponys and with a name he wouldn't know how to pronounce if he tried.
"But... What I don't understand: he sleeps with everyone or he's... selective."
"He's more so than you think," Jungkook informs, raising his finger. "If he's not pretty, good with animals, and has a strong scent, he won't come close." Taehyung feels his eyebrow twitch. That's not being very specific. "Sometimes it takes a little activity, you know? To release the hormones." Jungkook shrugs. "I'm sure you'd be great."
"Are you saying I stink?"
"Thank you for saying so."
Taehyung twists his expression and discreetly pulls his sleeve closer. He doesn't smell bad. No one has ever told him that. When they meet Jimin, Taehyung feels like running away. The way his eyes flashed and he squealed out of nowhere seems like a red flag to him. A sign to run away.
What he could have escaped was having the Omega on top of him, hugging him and even rubbing his cheek against his own.
"You're already friends with Kookie! That's great! I knew Kookie could help me!" Jimin falls back to the ground, hands together and smiling in excitement. "It means the three of us can go to a party!" he exclaims excitedly, standing up on the tips of his toes.
"Party? Where?" Jungkook asks, puzzled, and with that Taehyung is surprised. He thought these two had some sort of brain-to-brain bond since they're always together and seem to know each other better than anyone else around.
"In Itaewon." He hands Jungkook the paper. "They invited me all of a sudden... Though if you two don't go, I won't go either. How boring."
"You don't know them?" Taehyung questions with a raised eyebrow. Jimin shakes his head.
"I have no idea who they are, but they were two very pretty girls," he informs, tucking his hair behind his ear. "I thought it might be fun if just the three of us go... Or invite other people!"
"Jimin... Did they invite you?" Jungkook insists, and Jimin shakes his head. "Maybe they don't want us there."
"Then I won't go." Jimin waves his hand in disinterest. Jungkook snorts and looks at Taehyung who points to himself.
Why does he look at him like that?
