"Thanks for bringing him."

"You're welcome."

"You can stay here if you want," Namjoon offers, and Jungkook smiles shyly. "You know we always have a room ready for you."

Jungkook finally agrees. He has everything he needs here, so it's not that urgent for him to get home either. Not to mention that it's really late and he needs to finish homework soon. He and Jimin live far away. Very far away. It would take about forty minutes to get home, and he would do it to sleep.

Not to finish an essay on the difference between real journalism, journalistic chronicles, and fake news circulating on the internet. The only reason he hasn't finished at this point is that he ran out of the house. He could be at a job interview or a job and rush out to help Jimin.

Jimin never jokes about it, nor is there any reason to believe he lies about it. So if he's in danger, he'll go for him. It's an inside joke they both have: Jungkook is Jimin's unofficial Alpha. He'll do anything for him. Even learn to fly to get to where he is and save him from anyone who tries to hurt him.

Or beat to death whoever manages to lay a hand on him.

Namjoon goes to Jimin's room, where he finds him sitting on the small sofa he has in a corner, staring at some random spot and hunched over like he usually isn't. Once Jimin detects him nearby, he pouts a little. Namjoon sighs and pats his head.

Jimin is his little baby.

The light in his eyes, his complete adoration.

He spoiled him, but he managed to make him not be a brat. Namjoon considers it a huge achievement. He knows that's how it is when he has so many people who love him. Even without expecting anything in return. The clearest example is Jungkook. Who only orbits around him as someone very dear. Who occupies Jimin's Alpha space until the official one arrives.

"Are you okay? What happened?"

"I just got really scared" Jimin confesses quietly. "They wanted to get me somewhere alone... and you told me never to. It's always worked. This time too. They said horrible things." Jimin murmurs, looking up. "Why are Alphas like this with me? I don't understand."

"They were like this with Jin too. The hormones you guys have are so strong that they attract unwanted attention," Namjoon explains simply sitting down, Jimin grumbles. "And even if it wasn't like that: there are very bad people out there, Jimin, terrible people who want to hurt you because they enjoy it. They enjoy-"

"The control they have over others." He finishes and Namjoon nods.

"As long as you can run away or ask for help, you'll be fine," he assures with a kind smile. "Stay as a smart Omega as you are now, okay?" Jimin nods and gets up alone to go sit on top of Namjoon. Jin passes by at the same time and shakes his head, amused. Jimin will one day leave his manners as a little boy. "What happened before Jungkook came?"

"Oh, Tae and his friends were waiting with me. They chased them away." he explains briefly and Namjoon gives a soft murmur.

"Dad, can I ask you something?" Hoseok nods with a warm and cheerful smile. "When you were young, when you were studying veterinary medicine, did they bully you?"

"A lot. To the point of nausea." Hoseok rolls his eyes, irritated to remember it. "They had barely legitimized the law that allowed Omegas to study medicine of any kind. So there were very few Omegas, too many Alphas, anyway: it was more than terrible."

"And... You had boyfriends, right?"

"Yes. Two before I met my beautiful Yoongo-Boingo." He hears something fall in the kitchen. He exclaims with amusement. "Don't be so dramatic! It's not the worst nickname I've ever given you!" Taehyung shakes his head. There have been worse.
