Chapter 2: Surprise Attack

First Person

I kept on my current course, from what I could see it was probably 11:00 am but I can't be sure because I had no watch or clock for that matter.

"*Sighs* No land no anything, I'm getting hungry I should eat one of those Rations." I said to myself before going down below deck and into the storage room.

"Let's see" I mumbled whilst searching for the supply. "Oh wait, I don't need to choose they're all the same, eh saves some time".

I took one container and headed back to the bridge to eat it.

I opened the can and saw some biscuits, chocolates, gum and bread "Good enough." I said as I started eating it.

A few minutes later

"Taste's decent, not the best but not the worst. Oh well I can't be picky." I cleaned up the place after I finished the food.

"Oh wait, what about my fuel and ammunition? Better check it."

I checked the fuel, it was at 60% which was good enough however what I was more surprised is my ammunition which was at 80%.

"How is my ammunition at 80% when before I came here it was 20%? And I even used some last encounter?" I Pondered

"Welp, when I came to this place it was strange already. Seriously how have I come to this?" I sighed. "I guess I should check the radio hopefully I find something, my fuel ain't infinite."

I turned on the radio, at first there were only static but I experimented with different radio frequencies and eventually found something.

"Nothing... Still nothing... Still noth--- Oh what's this?" I turned the volume up as I could hear the slight voice of a person.

"All units nearby, need help urgently we are under attack." The person on the radio said.

"A distress signal? Might aswell help." I said to myself before responding. "Im coming, please state position."

"Position, 21.3665° N, 157.9368° W. Please make best speed." The person responded.

"Alright, I'll be there ASAP." I answered

"Ok those coordinates are pretty useless since I don't know where I am, however since the person is using radio I can probably do some math."

I took out a large piece of paper and there I started calculating using the triangulation method to find at least an estimate to the location.

"Oh wait I forgot, I need at least 2 points and I'm the only one here." I said in disappointment. "Wait, I can just move a little bit to get the other reference points."

I contacted the person behind the radio again. "Hello, can you talk with me for just a minute?"

"Yeah, why tho?" The other person questioned

"It's nothing just for 1 minute." I put down the radio

I took this time to move from my current location to a new location near me and there I got my other point and using the triangulation method, I drew a line on the direction of the signal on the first reference point and did the same on the second reference point, the exact location would be where the 2 lines would intersect which would make a triangle. And using my antenna I got the distance rather easily as well.

"Yes, I found it." Excited after successfully found the location.

"Found what?" The person behind the radio questioned.
