☠ Tower of Frozen Waves

Monday, June 23, 1727

It's been nearly three years since they set off on their journey, and at last they were finally prepared to explore the Tower of Frozen waves. It's taken a lot of preparation to get to this point, and regrettably an unnecessary amount of pit stops, no thanks to Rum. Yet finally here the main four were, exploring this structure entirely made of ice, the entire thing looked like you were walking in one big mirror, trippy.

Jack and Marley, formerly Sorbet and Peppermint, were following their captain's as they trekked through the tower. While Jack and Marley were particularly very close to each other it seems their parents were not, both of them shooting peculiar glares at the two being so close, to which they just glared back with smiles as if nothing was wrong. All the while the two of them couldn't keep their eyes off each other.

" CAPTAIN ! " The silence was interrupted by Poppy's voice ringing through the structure. Rum and Ice quickly turned around and started to high tail it to Poppy's voice, unintentionally shoving Marley into Jack. Jack only smiled as they helped Marley back on their feet, hearing their nervous yet cute giggle. When they got there though there were two ocean cookies smothering SweetBall.

" Aren't they so cute ? " One of them said while the other nodded and continued to squeeze their face, much to SweetBall's displeasure. It wasn't long before SweetBall had enough and bit their hands.

" I'm not cute ! Watch where you're touchin' me ! " The young girl growled as they quickly went to hide behind Poppy.

" Identify yourselves ! " Ice called out to the two strangers.

" Oh ! I'm Mocha Ray Cookie, and this is Lobster Cookie- We just couldn't resist I'm sorry. We're the tower's guardians, and you are ? " Mocha said as they started to lean on Lobster, who glared at them and mumbled something.

" I'm Captain Ice Cookie and this is Rum Cake Cookie, along with our two adopted sons, Sorbet Shark Cookie and Peppermint Cookie. We're after this unstable magic that's been corrupting this area for the past few years, even if it is spotty. " They said as they held their weapon steadily.

" I told you ! The magic is always unstable when we fight ! " Lobster Cookie called out to their partner, they were clearly upset just by the tone of their voice alone.

" Well maybe that magic is unstable because you let that dangerous cookie in the tower ! " Mocha Ray shouted back, putting their hands on their hips.

" I didn't know they were dangerous ! How was I supposed to know they had relations with Black Beer ?! " Lobster cookie shouted again.

" Read the fine print ! If some shifty pirate nobody's heard of comes to the tower seeking shelter, you shouldn't let them in, nevermind tell them they can stay ! They've been stealing all of the treasure, treasure that doesn't even belong to us !" Mocha Called out, raising their voice even more.

" Black Beer !! " Ice shouted in rage as they heard the infamous outlaw's name. The One pirate that was always impossible to catch, and worth a hefty bounty. Meanwhile Rum got all shifty eyed as they looked over at Sorbet, who's eyes were sparkling at the sound of treasure.

Rum got close to Sorbet and whispered in their ear, " You know what you have to do. "

Sorbet nodded and took Peppermint's hand and started to drag them off elsewhere in the tower. Peppermint gasped slightly at the sudden feeling of being yanked in the opposite direction without warning.

" Where are we going ? " They yelped as they continued to be dragged around, swiftly turning corners.

" Treasure ! " Sorbet happily said in a sing-song tone. Peppermint only smiled and rolled their eyes, another treasure hunt huh ? How original of a pirate to go looking for treasure in some historic landmark. Peppermint couldn't help but giggle at how ironic it was.

Sorbet was practically skipping around everywhere as they looked for the treasure. Peppermint only felt themselves so intrigued in their hyperfixation in shiny coins and jewels. Finally they turned another corner and there was a pile of gold and gems. Peppermint swore they never saw Sorbet's eyes sparkle so much, at least, without Sorbet looking at Peppermint. They quickly started to dig in the pile.

Peppermint only stared at their friend basically playing with the coins instead of trying to store them when they suddenly heard a noise. They quickly looked around for any other cookies and tried to see where the sound came from. " Jack . . . ? "

" Hmm ? What ? " They said, popping up from inside the pile of coins.

" I think we have company . . . " Peppermint said before making a dagger out of ice with their magic. Sorbet quickly slid down the edge of the pile of coins and brought out their sword as well. They started to hear shuffling behind them, so Sorbet turned around and put their back against Peppermint's.

" Watch yer eye . . . " A voice whispered before suddenly a cookie lunged at Sorbet and struck a blow at their left eye, getting a pretty deep cut over it. Sorbet quickly got the cookie off of them and the next thing they knew they were grinding swords with an unknown opponent.

Peppermint quickly snuck up behind the cookie and tried to stab them in the back with their dagger. " Identify yourself ! It's rude to start a battle without knowing your enemy ! "

The cookie dodged their attack though and tried to get being Peppermint to hold them hostage, but to their dismay Peppermint already got out of the way. " I be FreezyPop Cookie ! Surely ye hearda me ! I be Black Beer's right hand cookie ! "

" Never heard of you. " Sorbet said, not like they could understand Sorbet anyways. They started to assess FreezyPop for any blindspots when FreezyPop charged once more. Sorbet blocked them with their sword and started to back up a little as more repeated blows came, yet none of them struck Sorbet.

FreezyPop suddenly tried to aim for Sorbet's throat but Sorbet dodged before their cutlass could swipe at their throat. Simultaneously Sorbet had swiped their own sword at their right leg, causing the other cookie to stagger back after jumping to avoid the cut.

" Not bad, but yer still a rookie and this treasure be mine ! " They regained their balance before jumping back in to engage in combat once more, only this time Peppermint was on their right side as well, yet FreezyPop seemed to manage just fine between the two of them.

It didn't take long for FreezyPop to start to get tired so they waited for the right moment when they blew into Sorbet's eyes to catch them off guard. Sorbet staggered back when they were taken by surprise and suddenly they felt a sharp and burning pain come from their right shoulder to their left waist across their chest.

They had been cut, and badly too. Peppermint gasped slightly seeing the damage the other cookie had done when they forcefully turned FreezyPop around and made a slit across their eyes with their dagger. FreezyPop shouted in pain as they dropped their weapon and started to encase their eyes with their hands, the jam spilling out quickly.

Peppermint quickly rushed over to Sorbet and placed their head on their lap, inspecting the large gash on their body. FreezyPop growled and picked up their sword once again to try and get revenge on Peppermint but they had created a bubble of Ice around themselves and Sorbet, there was no getting to them now. The other pirate just growled even more before hearing somecookie's voice and running off.

Peppermint felt the tears forming in their eyes when they gently touched Sorbet's wound, making them hiss in pain. " Jack . . . "

" Hey, it's alright mate. . . I'll be fine Mar. It's justta scratch . . . haha- " Sorbet said weakly, making Peppermint cry more and shake their head no.

" It's not just a scratch Jackie ! . . . We need to get you back to the captain's, they can help you, let's go. " Peppermint said as they tried to pick Sorbet up, as heavy as they were. They still seemed to manage to hold them however.

" Marley I told you I'm fine, I'm . . . " Sorbet suddenly started to feel themselves get dizzy, and then everything went black.
