Had two of my scientist ocs meet ^_^
TW - VIOLENCE, NEEDLES, MILD EYE GOREDr. Harkley and Dr. Xavier Stern find themselves in a locked, simple office room. How they got here, neither know. They're from different universes, but were brought here by unknown means. Perhaps, for entertainment.
The two scientists study each-other, in silence, confused. Harkley wondered how Xavier had been so tall, why his eyes were purple but he didn't seem albino, and, of course, who he was. Xavier.. He just wondered who the hell Harkley was.
".... Dr. Harkley." Harkley said, breaking the tense silence.
Xavier perked up a little. "...Dr X."
"...What a childish name. X? What, are you ashamed of your real name?" Harkley teased, laughing.
Xavier frowned. "It's not that I'm ashamed of it, I simply don't wish for anyone to know my real name."
"Well there's only so many names that start with X, Dr. One of the most common would be Xavier."
Xavier fell silent, not sure how to reply. He wanted to dodge the topic, seeing as Harkley correctly guessed his name...
"Ohhh, that's it isn't it? What, scared?"
Xavier now frowned. He walked towards Harkley, and now stood only a couple feet away from him. "Do not test me, Dr. Harkley. The outcome will be something you won't like."
Harkley just chuckled, raising his hands in a joking surrender. "Oh, fine.... Anyway, Dr. Xavier, where do you come from? What's your line of work?"
Xavier's expression eased, and he stepped back. "I dabble in many different types of science... My main would be.. chemistry, I suppose."
"Interesting.. I study human enhancement."
"Enhancement?"
"Ways to make the human body more durable, more easy to use. I help build soldiers for war." Harkley gained a bit of a proud smile.
"Oh.. That sounds like it's.. fun."
"What do you do with your chemistry, hm?"
"I- Well, there's many ways I use it.. I've developed a way to stimulate the nerves and make them 10× more sensitive.. I've developed hallucinogenic drugs,, and different types of anesthesia.."
"Oooh..... You've caught my interest with the nerve stimulation and anesthesia." Harkley had a dark look in his eyes, but Xavier hardly noticed it.
"Ah! I have one of the two with me. I always carry it just in case..." He muttered the last part to himself. He reached into his coat and pulled out a syringe, filled with some pure black substance. "I just call it Nerve Stimulator, N.S. for short. It can make a paper cut feel like a deep laceration."
"..May I inspect the syringe closer?" Harkley asked.
Xavier was... deeply hesitant about it. But he figured it wouldn't hurt... the two men were both scientists, and Xavier decided he wanted to be friendly, out of respect. He came closer to Harkley and held the syringe closer for him to see.
"Hmm,,, How is it injected? Is there any specific area?" Harkley asked. He kept his hands behind his back, a sign of respect, and that he wouldn't touch it.
"Oh, It can be injected anywhere, really. As long as the area leads to a group of nerves eventually. It spreads fast depending on where you inject it."
"Interesting...." Harkley paused for a moment. His hand then swung out from behind his back, snatching the syringe. Before Xavier could even process it, Harkley had jabbed the stringe into Xavier's hand and injected the N.S. Harkley ripped the needle out, and Xavier quickly took his hand back, and stepped away.
