Eventually, the sun began to dip down below the horizon. It was now the evening, and you hadn't received a call from Sebastian yet. The night was silent, save for the wind blowing against your trees and the crickets chirping in the distance.

I enjoy sitting on my front porch with a cup of hot coffee at the end of my day, today was no different. As I'm rocking in my chair, my cat Jasper starts to scratch at the front door. "Alright." I groan as I get up from my chair. I let Jasper in first, before I can close the door behind me I hear a small "hey!" It's Sebastian in the distance.

Sebastian walks over to you, a small smile on his face. His hands were shoved into the pockets of his jacket, in one of his hands he held a crumpled up piece of paper. As he got next to you, he looked over at you for a moment before clearing his throat.

"I... managed to get some of your files and pictures, at least. Your laptop's pretty much trashed, though..."

"Aw man!" I let out a groan. "I knew I should've left it at home before the mines." I plop my hand of my face. "I can't afford a new one right now either."

Sebastian gives a slight nod, "Well, why'd you bring it to the mines with you in the first place? Sounds like a recipe for disaster to me-"

"Yes, yes thank you. That's very helpful." I say sarcastically.

Sebastian shakes his head, rolling his eyes in annoyance."Well, maybe you'll want to listen to someone next time. You're lucky you didn't get physically hurt-" He pulls out a USB and waves it slightly. "And even luckier your stuff was at least semi-recoverable. There's some photos, some documents on here."

I let out a soft gasp. "Oh! Thank goodness! Anything helps!" I can't help but feel relieved. "You're a lifesaver!" I shove the usb drive into my overall pocket before it has the chance to go missing. "Please, come inside for some coffee and cookies. Let me repay you, you have no idea how relieved I am." I pretty much ignore any form of protest, holding the front door open for him.

"Well... I suppose I could." Sebastian raised an eyebrow as he glanced towards the door. He gave a shrug and a nod before following you inside the cabin. The second he stepped through the door, the warmth of the house immediately seeped into his bones and the scent of coffee and pastries filled his nose.

After he steps inside, I close the door and head straight to the kitchen. "So, what do you do for work now that Joja is out of market?" I pour Sebastian a cup of coffee and grab a plate of fresh cookies as I walk over to the kitchen table.

Sebastian smiles as he takes the mug of coffee, bringing it close to his lips and taking a sip. Slowly pulling out a chair, he politely take a seat at the table. He nodded slightly before replying. "I'm just a programmer online now. It's not the most... exciting, but it pays my bills, at least." He raised the mug to his lips again, taking another small sip before placing it down on the table.

I place a plate of cookies on the table as well, taking the seat across from him. "I think it sounds exciting, atleast it's not hard labor." I give a small laugh.

Sebastian gives a hearty chuckle, nodding in agreement. "Yeah you're right. I can do it in sweatpants at home..." He pauses and gives a cheeky grin "Or even without any pants at all, just as a bonus."

I sigh and close my eyes for a second. "I miss when I could just stay in my underwear all day! Sometimes I miss my apartment in the city."

Sebastian chuckled again, covering his face with his hand. "Oh, I totally understand that one... staying in my room and wearing nothing but briefs and an old band t-shirt is what I dream about these days... and don't even get me STARTED on how much I miss living in an area where there was more than just one bar..."

"I've never been to a bar before moving here." I continue, "I've gone to the saloon but I'm sure it's different in the city." I end up trailing off at the end of my sentence, not sure what else to say.

Sebastian places his chin in his palm, a small frown on his face. "How long have you lived here? In the valley, I mean."

"About 3 years. The first year I only shopped online. I worked super strict hours to get the farm going. The amount of work this place needed, I just put all my time in." It's nice remembering my first days here. I can't help but feel like part of it was wasted time, though.

"Only shopped online, huh? I can't blame you. The only store around here for the longest time was that old JojaMart... then Pierre's General Store. And I mean... that place sucks, but it's somehow better than Joja..." he rambles for a minute.

"Ya know what I miss?" I say with a little more enthusiasm than intended.

"What?" Ask Sebastian.

"Food trucks!"

"Food trucks! oh yeah. I miss those a TON! Oh my Yoba, it's been forever since I've had a good taco from one..." Sebastian sighs.

I laugh a little. "I make good fish tacos by the way if you every have a craving."

He pauses for a moment, before a smirk appears on his face. "Fish tacos you say? Well, now I'm interested... how 'bout making some for me sometime?"

I take the final sip of my coffee. "That depends, is it a date?" I ask, glancing at him on my way to the sink with my cup.

Sebastian's eyes widened slightly, his eyes focusing on yours as he processed your response. A light blush appears on his face as he gives a sheepish smile. "Huh? I-..." He pauses to clear his throat, his heart rate beginning to pick up its pace. "Ah jeez, that sounds..." He chuckles nervously, rubbing the back of his neck. "Yeah, that's be nice. I'd like that. It's a date."

"Great!" I can't help but smile, ignoring the heat on my face. "I can't wait." I'm embarrassed about being forward, but I felt like giving him a small push.

Sebastian can't help but give a goofy smile, his cheeks red in color. He gives a nod, his gaze flickering to your lips for just a moment before he clears his throat. "So, uh... yeah! I'll see you then.... And I'll try not to distract you too much when you're harvesting your blueberries..."

I can't help but chuckle in response. Before I'm able to reply, my eyes notice the hour on the clock. "Oh, it's late. You probably should go, don't want people to get the wrong idea." I feel myself grow sheepish, falling victim to my own insecurities again.

Sebastian laughs heartily, shrugging his shoulders. "Let 'em talk, who cares... but if it makes you uncomfortable, I'll leave. I'll see you soon for our taco date." He gets up from the chair, giving a mischievous smirk.
"See ya around, farmer~" He teases as he walks out the door.

"I have a name ya know." I joke back, letting my smile grow.

He laughs, raising a hand in acknowledgment. "Of course I didn't forget! It was just fun seeing your reaction. But fine... I'll call you by your name from now on- that is, until I come up with another nickname that makes your face so red~" He gives a small chuckle, shaking his head before giving you a wink.

"Go away." I tease, knowing he'll take it as a joke. I don't hear a reply but his laughter faints into the distance as I close my door. Locking it for the night, I'm filled with excitement.
