Sebastian sits solemnly at his desk, a pair of black headphones on his head leaking the noise of some sort of metal music. He quietly hummed along with the tune, typing away at his computer on his desk.
He quickly takes notice of you as you entered his room, he gave a half-assed wave before pulling down his headphones from his ears.
"What's up?""Hey! I was wondering if you would able to repair my laptop?" I ask, with a hint of desperation.
Sebastian sighed, rolling back in his chair.
"Uh, sure... but what did you do? Like, physically damage it?" He waited for a response. His knee kept on bouncing, a result to his adhd."No, I spilled wine on it." I say, sheepishly.
Sebastian pinched the bridge of his nose, closing his eyes in annoyance."Oh, my Yoba... how'd you manage that?" He sat up straight in his chair.
"I was making wine!" My tone grows defensive.
"No it's not-" Sebastian rubbed his temples. "And you don't need to defend yourself, either... but I'm sure that getting my help would probably cost you some money." He rolled his eyes, turning his attention back to his computer. Unless you could... ya know, bribe me with some wine."
"Oh I'll bring you with so much more than just some wine." I give him a smile, wondering how he'll react to my teasing.
Sebastian laughed softly, a slight smirk on his face. He stood up, walking over to you before placing a hand on his hip.
"Just give me the laptop." His tone is playful.
"Yes yes, here. And here's some wine too." I banter back.Sebastian takes the items, setting the wine aside as he turns the laptop over and examines it. He gives a few taps on the keyboard, and a few moments later sighs deeply.
"Your laptop..." He shakes his head and closes his eyes for a second.
"It's completely drenched on the inside, with liquid damage to components. I can't guarantee it'll work after it all dries up.""Aw man!" My head droops and I let out an exaggerated groan. "My pictures."
Sebastian sighed again, giving you a sympathetic look.
"Alright, relax. We can salvage the pictures... Do you have a usb on you? I could transfer them to that until you can get a new laptop.""Yes!" I take off the usb drive I keep on my keys and hand it to Sebastian.
Sebastian chuckles at your overly enthusiastic response, taking the flash drive and connecting it to one of the ports in his computer.
"Alright... give me some time.""Of course. Oh! I also brought you breakfast! Sam mentioned before that you hardly eat down here." I take out an egg sandwich from the basket I was carrying and hand it to him.
"Oh, uh... thank you." Sebastian was a bit flustered by the seemingly random act of kindness. He gave a soft smile, taking the sandwich from you before taking a small bite. He had his guard up, expecting this to be a prank for some reason... but he quickly realized it was not. He kept eating the sandwich.
"Thank you for taking the time to help me, I really appreciate it." I say, grabbing another egg sandwich from my basket for myself. "I can't wait for the rainy season to start." I say before taking a bite of my sandwich.
Sebastian gives a hearty laugh, nodding his head in agreement. "Yes, soon the weather will turn terrible. I won't be able to ride my motorcycle for a while, since I don't want to ruin the leather." He took another bite out of the sandwich, leaning back against the wall.
I pause a second before taking another bite. "I have some oil you can use! I use it for my horses saddle."
Sebastian smiled. He took a few seconds to think, staring off into space as he tried to recall details about your farm. After a moment, his eyes widened as he remembered a particular detail.
"You... grow blueberries, don't you?" He asks.My eyes shoot towards his direction, grabbing his gaze. "Of course, they're my favorite!" I'm oozing with excitement.
Sebastian gives a hearty chuckle.
"Of course they're your favorite, they look like you. Or, your hair to be specific..." He gives you a cheeky smirk, crossing his arms in front of his chest.I can't help but laugh as well, "yes you're very observant." I tease.
"They're almost in season, shall I bring you some after harvest?"Sebastian smiles, giving a nod."Yeah, that'd be great actually. Fresh blueberries are the best, and I've never even tried the ones you grow. I hear they're of a particularly amazing quality..."
"Well I don't know where you heard that but I'm flattered." I can't help but give a huge smile.
Sebastian gives another chuckle, rolling his eyes softly. "From Sam and Abby, of course. They talk about your farm and the food it produces all the time..."
He gave a sheepish grin, shaking his head slightly "But they're not the most trustworthy sources, sometimes.""Oh." I can't hide my disappointment. "Well I'm sorry if I end up not meeting standard. I do my best but the weather and I aren't the best of friends."
Sebastian frowns softly, his gaze softening slightly. He stepped forward, debating if he should put a reassuring hand on your shoulder.
"I'm sorry if I said something that discouraged you."
He tried to give an encouraging smile, but my confidence was already shaken.I force a polite smile. "Well if you wouldn't mind calling me if you are able to salvage anything else." I start hastily gathering my things and make my way to his door. "My phone number is on the post it note on my laptop. Thank you, again." I slam the door shut behind me.
Sebastian raises a hand as if to tell you to wait, but it was too late. He stood silently, listening to your footsteps slowly grow softer as the distance between you increased.
"....right..."
He shook his head, glancing over to the laptop. He picked it up and inspected it further, only to find out that more than just the internals were damaged- the screen was shattered.
"Yikes." Sebastian sighs to himself.
