It's been 10 years since I had Alina Winters gifted to this place. We are now both 17 years old now. Which I think is extremely cool because she could have also been 100 something or maybe even more but she was my age. Which makes me extremely happy.

I was looking for a book I wanted to show her. It was a story book about a white bunny searching for a home. Which I found extremely interesting story. The bunny made friends and was accepted he went through troubling times but he found his place at the end which I found satisfying.

Searching through this mess of a room. Which consisted of an undone bed, scattered books, clothes and some broken glass. Which was once a vase till I threw it against a wall..

I found nothing but I think I did make it messier. I gave a frown. I wonder where I had put it. Maybe Tobias room. I humed a random rhythm while I ran down the hall. A maid seemed to cringe as I passed her. I smiled
Thinking I never did have a good sense of rhythm for music.

I soon reached a a familiar door. I gave a sad smile. This used to be katherine room. I miss her. I slowly opened it.

I looked to seen a curly brown mop of messy hair sticking out from the side of the bed. I smiled I couldn't help but smile. Tobias is adorable. He had curly messy locks with cloudy blue eyes. He was Katherine son. I considered him to be a brother to me he was also my treasure a treasure I would never let go.

Katherine had died a year after Alina came. But it wasn't from child birth like everyone thinks. Everyone also thinks Tobias is fully human judging by his scent. But he's not.

His own mom, Katherine, placed a curse on him, a high leveled one. Requiring her own human blood as a main ingredient. She had just lost so much which resulted in her death. I couldn't do anything. We had a healer and a witch but her body couldn't handle the strain. I swore to her that protect her son. She had given me such a tender smile. In her eyes I could see that she trusted my word. This was a promise I swore I would keep which I will.

Tobias was a half demon. He smelled human, thanks to the curse. I was able to keep him because of this. If mother had known about him being a half breed she would probably sold him for large price especially because of his ability. She may have even kept him for herself. Sometimes I still wonder whom Tobias father had been.

I stealthly walk to see what's he is doing. Only to see him studying a magic book. A gave a grin then asking enthusiasticly, "What do you got there Tobi?"

He sheepishly smiles in a soft voice answering, "A magic book I found it in the library so I took it."

"Was it empty in there?"

He gave a brilliant smile flashing his white teeth, I couldn't help but smile back. "Of course! I doubled check by looking and sensing!"

I gave him best devious grin "Smart boy.."

Quickly, I heard the wood door creak open. I snatched the book from his small hands and quickly slide it under the mattress. And turned too see my mother. I thought what is she doing here? No wonder I didn't feel her presence but why hide it? She never comes to look around the servant quaters. This is odd. Did she hear our conversation. No no.. I put a spell on the place so conversations can't be heard. Thinking all this while contorting my face as to my largest brilliant fake smile in my arsenal.

"Good morning mother. What bring you to the servants' quarters?" I glance to see Toby doing a deep bow never once looking at my mother, keeping his eyes to the ground. Which is what I instructed him to do. In my heart I'm proud he's such clever boy.

My mother gave me her signature soulless smile that somehow managed to steal many hearts. "I could say the same to you Willow. You always seem to be hiding something or somewhere."

If only I could burn her alive and feed her to wild boars. Oh, the joy I would feel. I gave a tight smile, "Likewise mother. But why Tobias room? There are many other servants you can ask for assistance if you need it."

She responded with giving me her twinkling smile flashing her crystal white teeth.

Meaning she's planning something. I made me feel uncertain. Something wasn't right. And when my gut feeling tells me that it's almost always right.
